I think that on a good day IdrA can beat anyone(and on a bad one lose to anyone T_T). If PuMa beats IdrA he's gonna ezpz 3-0 either of the protosses

China can't be too happy about their entire top 8 being foreign to their country. Its weird how China managed to be so far behind despite having access to the game for so long. Players like Loner did alright for a while, but were eventually swept away.

China only had it's own version of SC2 since early summer 2011, they use to play in SEA and TW servers which meant less players etc. Give them a year or two and they'll be a powerhouse.

and don't forget the 4 top chinese players that won the qualifier didn't attend because of a bigger chinese tournament happenning in the same weekend!

xigua, loner etc.. would have had a bigger chance!

wasnt xigua lost all his matches ?

Yes^^

Idra would lose to either elfi -- the way he's playing -- and hasuobs. His ZvP is dismal... he still thinks P is OP heh.

Well he had iNcontroL, Axslav, and HuK to practice with, so I dunno....

...really?

elfi still getting underrated, he beat ToD 2-0 and MaNa 2-1 like ~10 days ago so he should be a decent favorite over Hasu imo

I can't really see Puma losing this but i'm definately rooting for Idra and/or for the euro toss in the final

Everyone seems to have forgotten elfi beat Nada at Summer Assembly. They were weird games, but still, I think if elfi can make it through hasuobs, he has a pretty good chance against Puma, assuming he wins.

In my opinion iNcontroL and Axslav aren't as good as elfi and hasuobs. I guess you could argue that iNcontroL might be close, but I'm not entirely convinced.

back on topic: I really hope elfi pulls this one out and advances to the final. Would be another great LAN showing. I personally also hope that IdrA defeats PuMa since I feel elfi has a better chance against IdrA.

My hopeful prediction:

1. elfi
2. IdrA
3. PuMa
4. Hasuobs

He played pretty bad against Strelok, i think you either didn't watch it or forgot about it all ready. Puma has the apm to harass the shit out of Elfi too, especially when Elfi is a low apm player. Of course, if Puma wants to. Not to forget how powerful 1-1-1 is.

Games against Nada months ago doesn't mean shit anymore. He has been doing good results lately anyway, which you should look at instead.

Beyond effective use of the 1-1-1, Puma's TvP is poor. This is unsurprising, because if you use a 1 base build which give you a large advantage in most games, you will be worse at playing an even game which stretches on.

I hope Puma is enjoying his time in the TvP sun, because it will come with a price.

Yeah, because beating the best Protoss in the world in a full-blown series, when MC was indeed undoubtedly the best Protoss in the world, without using the 1-1-1 at all, is showing pretty poor TvP performance.

And that included macro games as well.

Please do a little research before making ridiculous claims. Puma's a beast, plain and simple. He can use the 1-1-1 very effectively, and he's certainly not afraid to auto-win with it, but he's not a one trick pony.

Hoping for a Idra win. He is 1 of the best zergs in NA and if he wins I think that would be huge for him confidence wise, and imo he deserves to win something big.

IdrA versus Puma might be close. If Puma wins, the TvP will be easy for him. If IdrA wins, the ZvP will be hard for him.

Well Elfi won 2-0 against Idra in group play pretty convincingly. ^^
