Other game, meh--they'll both be cannon fodder to Puma's TvP.
How good is Puma in grand scheme of things? I know he doesn't play in the GSL, but how would he compare to guys like Nestea, MVP, DRG?
When Puma played MVP in the MLG invitational thing MVP outclassed him 10x. Thats all i can say on the subject, im not really sure about nestea or DRG

I would say he can be among 20 Terrans in code S.

He's a tier below them, imho. MVP is way better except for TvP maybe, and I think the top Zergs would outclass Puma, too. But against everyone else than the top tier players, I think, Puma would show good results. Right before he won NASL, Puma actually started showing great results in the weekly cups and became pretty much the ace for TSL in GSTL. He's good, but not directly at the top.
As you saw in the matches at MLG, I'd put him on equal footing with Nada.

To be fair though thats MVPs best MU period and he outclasses almost every single code S terran at it save for Ryung and Bomber (though post patch he might outclass them again)

Are you guys sure about the time? I could swear it's still an hour away

First post also says that. Pretty sure someone just messed up with the calendar. I think it starts at the same time every day, so probably in an hour.
I'm still debating if it's worth it to stay up the whole night, it's only 3 am right now. -.-

Seriously hoping IdrA can get this signature international win; I know he has been practicing harder and I want for him to see it pay off. I shudder to think what a motivated IdrA would be like and getting positive reinforcement like taking this massive invite might do the trick!

I really hope I'm wrong, but beating Puma seems like a nearly impossible thing to do at this event (when he already lost to Jinro), an even if he managed that, the final boss would still definitely be a Protoss and, to be honest, IdrA's ZvP decision making has been largely uninspiring this event.
But I must admit, I thought he'd lose to Revival, so what do I know!

yeah damn its another hour to wait lol. I just saw IEM starting in 15 mins and got excited... :-/
anyone has the link to the previous results? how did the chinese players perform?

I hope Puma doesn't win, or failing that, does not 1-1-1 his way to 1st or 3rd.

It's impossible, if he kills PuMa he has to play vP in the finals. We all know how that goes.

if idra wins i will cry with joy, not because he is doing well again, but slashers hair will finally meet its end.

Chinese players got beat up pretty badly.

For the sake of clarity, it should be noted that this isn't an invitational event.
IdrA qualified for IEM, just like everyone else.

probably one of the most exciting things for me about this tournament is to find out if slasher shaves his head :D 3 foreigners and 1 korean... odds are looking good ^^
also i'm kinda hoping that idra can get this win, he hasn't had many results lately and it would be cool to see him win!

Officially: in 1 hour
Unofficially: probably more like 1.5 hours from this post

I think if Idra can play a reactive style of zerg instead of forcing his normal way he could do some damage to puma. Im not talking about changing up his 15 pool 15 hatch or anything but maybe try 2 base all in if he can get an early advantage or something. He needs to surprise Puma IMO. Im just a gold scrub but thats my opinion after watching greg stream.
