I applaud Puma for not going 1-1-1 all games even in XelNaga, 1-1-1 map.

It's a shame JYP got matched up against Puma in the quarters

He just used 1-1-1 fear to take an easy double expo...

so if i dont actually 1-1-1 and just pretend to its still imba?

no, thats called smart.

His point is that 1/1/1 is so ridiculously good that Protoss have to panic about a possible 1/1/1 whenever they see a gas, and particularly if they see banshees. It's the same thing where Puzzle tried to go 2 gate robo expo to be safe vs Bomber when Bomber took gas, and he did what Puma is doing now and just pulled workers out to FE and was miles ahead.

The mere threat of 1/1/1 puts Terran at a huge advantage vs Toss in so many situations. There's an obvious issue when a build is so strong that it influences the match up considerably even when it's not being used.

Puma is at a massive advantage now.

I'm not gonna debate over how 1-1-1 is imba in this LR thread but if a protoss had a build in which you HAD to prepare BLINDLY or die, but if you do and then the protoss takes 2 easy expos while you prepare, and once you find out and its too late, how would u feel? It definitely is smart, i didn't say it wasnt, its just terrible from a protoss pov.

No player should ever fail to find a hidden base. How hard is it to really send 1 probe to every base on the map, or you know he could have used his observer.

If PuMa wanted he would of floated an extra command center to the south base and be completely safe from scouting, but thats it with arguing about this topic, blizzard patch already basically admitted the build has something wrong with it.

Welp... this is gonna be an easy win for puma. Looks like we're probably going to get the match I want to see, puma vs elfi in the finals because there's no way in hell idra is gonna win vs puma rofl.

I wouldn't say idra can't beat Puma. I stalked their profiles a lot when Puma was living at the EG house and Idra appeared to win about 50% of the time. + Puma's tvz is pretty weak (lost to Z at MLG, and MLG online invitational and his tvz games at Dreamhacks were very subpar.)

I'd give idra a good shot of winning.

Can't believe how Puma went from the pride of terran to the shame of terrans aka 111 man in such a short time...
After nasl finals he was my hero, now I despise him.

He found a quicker way to win.. cant blame him, blame blizzard!

Oh but I don't even think that 111 is imba, in fact I think JYP is the least good of all the new code A protoss heroes (Sage, Oz, JYP and Hero). JYP played very well some games but plays terrible since then.

But to the point, Puma was an inspiration for all terrans after his nasl finals vs MC. He created himself a large fanbase in a very short time. Compare that to now where everyone hates him, he's basically a Rain clone. He even 111'ed MC in a fucking showmatch lol. It's just dumb from him imo, perhaps he doesn't care because he now has a solid contract, but he's not very good at marketing imo =)

And wtf is xel naga cavern doing in the map pool, and wth it is in this serie.

He did a single all-in (1/1/1) in a BO5 (so far) and then used the fear of that all-in to do a double expand. How is he doing anything other than playing an excellent series? He's mindgaming and outplaying his opponent (or punishing his opponents mistakes). Why should any fan give a shit? No one got mad at MKP for doing 11/11 bunker rushes and blizzard patched that, too.

Stop with the blind hatred ya'll =(

It's smart but it's abusing something everyone regards as imba, which is why it's frustrating to watch. Abusing broken stuff is always icky.

Puma was really patient with that protoss pressure, ended up paying off big time, probably going to win him the game.

Watching PvT is painful. It never seems like protoss has any chance if the terran plays half decent.

What a pity that Dimaga lost to Hasuobs, I don't know why such a great player(a much better than HasuObs) and lost in such manner, I think he must develop his ZvP a lot, because I think Dimaga is only one on this champ that got chances vs Puma.
