He will need to do that, otherwise Puma is gonna destroy him.

Dimaga did pretty damn strongly when he played in that Korean tournament awhile back, I can't remember exactly who he beat, but at the time he was taking out top Korean players. Shouldn't be too big a surprise he can beat JYP.

JYP was not playing very well at all today. Not to take anything away from Dimaga he played some good games, but JYP even the games he won against xigua were fairly uninspriring although on Dual Sight he definitely was behind and came back with a sentry drop, then it got really messy though.

This is his first international tournament i could tell even by looking at him that he didnt feel to comfortable. Hopefully he gets in shape tommorow as his PVZ is easily some of the best in korea, and his PVT is nothing to snuff at either. Really hope he does well tommorow (im counting on it)

Also go Jinro for tommorow havent seen him play too much over the past month , i heard hes back on track again!

I thought JYP had a good chance to win this tourney, but today he played the worst I've ever seen him play. He played at 50% of his gsl level at best.

He went 2 - 2 with nestea and lost to San but beat MVP(though apparently mvp was winning the 1st game and it got disconnected). Not really a good indication of his record though.

He was the first person to beat Nestea ZVZ in a televised match. I dont think those games were really that impressive though, they were 1-1 both played good sets then dimaga did a 6 or 7 pool and pulled all his drones and won. People seem to forget that when they mention those matches.

I think its a huge surprise that he beat JYP, JYP is definietly one of the best PVZ in Korea, he just wasnt playing well and dimaga was and he lost . Trust me if JYP was playing like he was 2 days ago in GSTL where he took out 3 zergs in a row (with some truely inspiring play) we would probably not have seen the same results.

Yea MVP had that game in the bag before he got disconnected, and then all dimaga did was an early baneling bust against mvp and caught him off guard it wasnt like he beat him in some long macro game (althoug the first game they played was pretty close but i think MVP had it, their where no answer to those BC's and MVP had cut off his side of the map with PF's)

I think people don't give enough credit to the meta-game changes that come with international tournaments.

JYP played safe/different in these games because he doesn't know what to expect from foreign players. By contrast, he knew what to expect from Korean Zergs, and so he knew what corners he could cut, and what timings he needed to hit. Against foreign players, however, those expectations are out the window. I mean, who knows whether they're going to drone up or do something wtf like build thirty zerglings all of a sudden?

The same is probably true of XiGua. He looks like he's playing way out of his depth in terms of the strategies he's facing. Chinese players probably play very different from EU and KR players, leading him down some embarrassingly bad match-ups.
