You don't have a choice on cross position. You need to do this kind of 3base turtle into taking a middle map base with planetary and get marauder / ghost to counter what T3 they'll use to break you.
You will always end up being rolled if you try to push out before zerg did the first move on a lategame scenario.
good play by select. he knew dimaga was on t2 too long and just waited till he was maxed out or dimaga to attack into him (which happened)

i thought dimaga stayed on lair too long, he was maxed and had 4 bases running and had no t3 tech yet, so he was maxed but with bad army. he wanted to bank resources, which is good, but you need t3 to remax with. remaxing with ling bling isn't good anymore. he needed to harass a lot more with muta and send like 30 lings to 3rd base, lose them and get broodlords or bank a LOT for ultras, so when select pushes out to take gold, he would bypass his army and go to 3rd, lose all his stuff eventually but then remax with ultraling and then crush whatever select has remaining. (still think broodlords are better in tvz). he was too passive or too agressive, pushing into siege lines.

I think you go for some eco damage right before you are maxed to get ahead in economy, then max out on infestors/broodlords and when they are eventually brought down just send in lings since your economy is ahead from those first attacks. At least that's what I see most good ZvT players do which works well
i cant see how select could have held dimagas push if dima just maxed out at 13-14mins(or w/e the standard maxout time is in tvz), attacked selects main with his muts in order to split his army out and then hit his front with all of his army
however the main problem i could see with that attack is that dimaga was sitting on 3bases so its semi allinish because if it fails hes forced to make units(in order to defend the threat of a counterattack) and then doesnt have any eco heading into the lategame, he should have his 4th base up much quicker
When he went for the first big attack he could have done more damage with the mutas to the scv's on SeleCT's third base which would have slowed down his economy and let Dimaga have 1-2 bases up for free. A big flaw in Dimagas play is also the upgrades, low tech with mostly zerglings have the potential to just die without doing any damage.

SeleCT is great TvP he makes some amazing timing attacks to there so good to watch always fun games. Also I dont think if he beats Elfi he will be favorite to win it all, depends who he is vs in the final, if its WhiteRa he will be favorite, if Idra or Ret i dont think he is anywhere clsoe to favorite.
Idra beats him alot in ZvT as of late, Ret is the same and also has beaten him at MLGs recently.
But SeleCT vs Elfi will be good due to SeleCTs amazing tactics xD
