Yeah, when companies are shit.
Good companies make exceptions when it's necessary, and GOM wants to not piss off foriegn viewers.
The foreign viewers and players seem to disregard and disrespect their korean hosts. If someone came to your house and trashed the place and swore in front of your children you have the right to be angry.
nobody except some US Americans care about swearing, just accept it
The "swearing" is a very minor part of the problem though. The bigger problem some have is with Jinro not acknowledging the GOM rules which i'm sure exists and have been relayed to the relevant people (coaches, HuK, fellow players) one way or another. Feigning ignorance of the rules is just not cool.
Luckily this is just some minor thing so we can quickly get over it and nothing will be affected.. At most GOM or Jinro will get a small fine if it was shown on Anibox and somebody complained about it because afaik they don't allow "vulgarities" especially in a cartoon channel lol.
Imagine if it's a bigger thing like typing anything in the game = surrender rule that GOM had.
fine...? Why would they be fined? You do realize only US/Canada/UK give a fuck about using the word fuck right?
Also group of Death: B or C... jesus :S
Sorry i'm not really sure about the broadcasting rules just that someone mentioned it before in this thread. But pretty sure most Asian countries are quite traditional about this and have TV ratings system which prohibit mature language/expletives in Cartoon channels/ Kids shows. If i'm wrong then just ignore what i said.
The "swearing" is really not the point of the contention at all.
I hate to be a pessimist, but from the get-go it already looks like this will most likely be another one-sided finals given that the first half the groups/brackets are so stacked.
On the other half there is July, Losira, Ganzi, Polt, and DRG. They're the guys from that side who probably have the highest chance of getting to the finals, and out of them, it's hard to imagine them putting up a good fight against anyone likely to make it out of semis on the other side. DRG vs MMA finals could be close, but I don't know that he'll even make it that far. Polt could hold his own in the finals and even win as he demonstrated in the ST finals. Losira and July have been there and gotten destroyed by players of the caliber that the other side of the bracket holds, and Ganzi is a bit of a wild card for me.
Holding out hope for MMA vs DongRaeGu or Polt.
This is all assuming that things go as they should and that there isn't another underdog fluking his way to a finals...(there will be).
Group A: Walkover for MVP. I'm calling MVP and Noblesse. Sorry, Clide. Group B: Bomber, MKP. Group C: By all rights, it should be MMA and NesTea, though I can honestly see Keen beating MMA and NaDa edging his way in there. No clue. Group D: No clue. Group E: Ganzi, Losira Group F: Jjakji, Leenock. Maaaybe Happy. Group G: DRG, Taeja. If Taeja makes it out, he's going to go deep, mark my words. He's absolutely sick. Group H: Poor CoCa, no Protoss. TOP, Supernova.
I love how NesTea said he was about to pick MMA if he could pick himself anyways. That made MMA jawdrop to the ground lol. NesTea has for sure prepared something specific for that match.
And watching Jinro fooling around was srsly a risky thing..that was actually stupid. And pull your shirt outta your pants Jinro...jesus christ. >.<
edit:
and I LOOOOOVE how Polt came out and said -->Terran is OP<--, and that he wants to take out some bad Terran players that doesnt belong in Code S!

Puzzle - going to get all-ind out to the Up/Downs. HuK - decent chance to advance, not sure if it'd be better for him to play Zenio or dodge him. HongUn - down to the Up/Downs. Genius - should be able to advance in 2nd place, with Jjakji in first. Both Leenock and Happy have awful vP. SangHo - down to the Up/Downs.
This is not going to be fun. Oh well, my expectations can't really be lower, so I'm only in for positive surprises.
Hongun will go 3 gate stargate distance mining gas from his natural and somehow end up in the Ro4.
Missed the live (thought it was tomorrow ><), but watched the vods, and the Jinro choosing Ensnare then Virus was a sick moment haha :D (btw, DOA could have introduced Drewbie a little better imo) I didn't understood why they didn't accepted Jinro's change, as a lot of people have already changed AFTER putting the name on the board. Well, I guess it's because they talked about that for a long time, so changing after 5+ minutes of talk/analysis was strange. But this was due to the back and forth translation imo. I see how changing that late could be a problem tho, as a a player could "encourage" the player he selected to pick player X, then change his pick if he feel that his player won't pick X. (not sure it's clear xD)
Anyway, good groups. GOMTvT the first 2 days, then "normal" groups. With a lot of potential terrans in up and downs (and a lot of potential P and Z from code A in the und too if things go well) Could be the very first season with a decrease of terrans in code S. Let's hope.

Really looking forward to HongUn games for real though because he said he is unbeatable PvZ at the moment. Knowing him, it's possible he is just being ironic and put on a facade as usual
Some of his old gems include : "PvP doesnt matter to me, my win rate is 0 anyway then proceeded to roll MC: "I'll 4 gate you before you can do anything so don't bother preparing any strats"
Never underestimate him though. Probably (one of) the most consistent player in GSL regardless of what anyone says of his playstyle.

I read before that in Korea he's considered a top player. It's only here where everyone shits on him.
Umm, I have a bad feeling that Protoss might be losing a few more players to the up and down matches. At least Huk has a relatively easy group (one of the easiest perhaps)

Jinro was not respected, he was not told the rules in Swedish or English.
He didn't ask if he could switch or play a joke either. Both parties didn't cover their asses for this. But it's GOMTV's show, and Jinro should know better than to start swearing like a kid.
If you think the word 'fuck over' is a curse, you are fucking retarded.
See how that flies in a job interview. Saying fuck is not professional, however you want to paint it.
I said fuck at least twice during the last presentation I made at work.
It isn't a big deal to non-Americans. It just isn't.
dunno why i seriously just wasted 8 minutes of my life watching Jinro say "I'm not going to fuck over my friend" on internet TV, what the fuck is wrong with you guys creating drama for this.
A - MVP + one of the tier 2 terrans...lol? Obviously it's going to be clide though :D B - Bomber if he can get over his BM problem. The second slot will probably go to Ryung, although this group again has some of the strongest terrans. Puzzle's going to have a rough time because all 3 terrans have shown they can 1/1/1 with the best of them =/ C - Group C is soooo hard to predict. Keen IMO is really underrated, and the rest of them need no explanation...So difficult. D - Huk Zenio. E - hongun and Ganzi are my picks to go through. F - Leenock! and jjakji. G - Polt and DRG H - Top and alive.
Protoss isn't going to look very good going into Ro16 regardless though. There's a VERY real chance of having a repeat of season one, the only representative of a race in ro16, except this time there won't be a huge storyline behind it because a protoss won't win.
Zerg is looking from my picks with 4+nestea slated to go into Ro16.
Terrans need to drop out, although looking at the groups, it just isn't going to happen this time. The weakest player in a fair amount of the groups are protoss...which doesn't bode well for the future of GSL protoss. Hopefully some Code A talent can come up and prove us wrong.

Jinro: Group selecting like a BOSS. Good fucking shit man. We will never see some shit like that ever again.
Also, I remember during the oGs team league where no one on oGs would high-five superNova, is he some kind of prick or are you guys always messing with him?
How does Huk always gets relatively easy groups. Not saying he doesn't deserve to stay in Code S or anything, but still have yet to see him get worthy challenges to overcome that would make me go "mhmm he definitely deserved to stay"
