I think players getting to choose their own groups might have something to do with it. Never seen another tournament format that produces such consistently lopsided finals, even with careful preparation.

They really need to change the pool play or bracket system so players play more games too many players getting through based on luck. At this rate we will never see a great finals :/

that mass thor strat reminded me of the game against moonan at mlg where it looked like MVP was behind, but then all of a sudden marched into like 15 tanks with an army of thors and lost 0 of them.

P.S: If this ends up being another 4-0 with MVP crushing TOP, for next month's GSL Final at Blizzcon, my finals article will be just a gigantic picture of Tasteless face with "lol 4-0 cya next GSL" written under it. I'm warning you, GSL.

i would say there aren't many upset so far in the final. the better player at the time wins all the time so far.

Taking position is one thing, but he was pushing at breackneck speed right into MVPs army, when MVP was still ahead in army count. Like, I get that he wanted a good position, but moving that fast is just reckless. It nearly lost him the series against Optimus, and it lost him the game now too.

It's also the random seeding that makes good players meet early on and only one of them can go on. I wonder if it would be a good idea to make it double elimination? If that were the case we'd probably have Nestea - MVP finals.
