Terminus again, close position again I'm sure.
MKP got close pos vs JYP, Taeja got close pos vs JYP.
But Tester and JYP got far pos on both taldarim and antiga.
So close pos now.

Trickster owned him the whole game then made one mistake. Jyp made lots and lots of mistakes and two good decisions and won the game. That's DTs for ya.

This is a horrible mindset for you, this is a strategy game where you have to make the best decisions based on information you have.

Lets look at Trickster's decision:
Decides to account for the chance of DT with the forge, builds one cannon to be super safe against it, yet then decides to move out. That is asking for a base trade unless you know for certain that JYPs army is at home.

Owned him? JYP was down but not out, I would say his blink stalker control would of beat Tricksters when it came down to it. Did JYP play a bit risky? Yes, but he calculated the risk vs reward and decided that the path he took was the better one. He won, so he is better in that game.

Problem is that making a dark shrine when you're behind isn't really a decision. He had basically lost the game and built a dark shrine, sort of as a free extra life. It's not like he had a lead to lose, building that dark shrine.

JYP still coulda won with the basetrade cause he got to the mineral line first.

Of course. I'm not denying that trickster made a mistake. However, it's a VERY EASY mistake to make, relative to what it takes to force the mistake.

It seems that wolf got the same game sense as Doa.

It's a pvp, nobody can be 100% which player is going to win at any time.

Come on, that's not fair. Wolf actually plays Protoss and is pretty decent as a player. PvP is just really volatile and unpredictable.

As much as I like MKP, hopefully JYP can pull through so we can have more of a variety of races in Code S.

The situation was really volatile so cut our casters a little slack here

If it is so volatile, he should not say who will win.

Trickster owned him the whole game then made one mistake. Jyp made lots and lots of mistake and two good decisions and won the game. That's DTs for ya.

He won because trickster made AWFUL decisions, not because he made good decisions himself, what he did was 100% obvious.

Trickster made -a- horrible mistake. If the game was well designed -a- mistake wouldn't just negate playing well the other 90% of the time. I'm saying the very nature of being able to make a DT and just negate not doing as well as the other guy is stupid and makes the game inherently coinflippy.

The rewards for stuff like clutch DT's is way too large. Even if technically balanced, it's just kind of bad design.

It is designed to punish greedy players that skip detection (even less of an excuse for Trickster considering he was ahead)

I agree that it should punish not getting detection, I never said anything to the contrary, I think finding this loophole in your opponents build should give you an advantage, not plain win you the game. Like I said, I think the rewards for doing this is way too large.

Like... chess? You can play brilliantly all game, be ahead pieces, but by ignoring the strategic positioning of your pieces be checkmated due to a single (giant) mistake. You saying chess is a bad game? LOL. Your reasoning makes no sense: if you make a mistake as big as the one Tester made, you deserve to lose.

Don't compare chess to SC2. One is a game of complete information and one is a game of incomplete information with a micro aspect. These games aren't comparable.

Moletrap has gotten a lot better?! I've been listening for a full 30 mins and I haven't cringed once!

Nice work to new casters, they've really calmed down on the constant yelling + 30 minute long awkward joke marathons.

the kong is strong in this one.

I imagine that he will do 2, 2 base 2-2-2 builds now.

Because it was volatile they should not preemptively say things that are NOT true.
