Also if you can't get koreans to come, take second best; Chinese :D Could differentiate from other tourney's and still have amazing play.

Group 1: WhiteRa and maybe Hero are the only true title contenders. Sheth, Demuslim and maybe Fenix (if he actually starts to show improvement from being in Korea) could post good results too. Group 2: Huk, Rain and Mana a level above the rest in this group. Predicting Huk and Mana to take it as Rain's skills will deteriorate from being out of Korea. Group 3: Extremely deep group as any of these players could finish in any order and I wouldn't be surprised. Strangely enough despite the depth I think Socke is the only one who can go deep into the grand finals unless Idra reaps immediate benefits from being in Korea and Kiwikaki gives up poker. Group 4: Sen's group to lose, but Strelok, Ret and Select are excellent competition as well. Group 5: Puma easily the best player in this group and Dimaga easily the second best player. Hasuobs could potentially play spoiler depending on what kind of form he's in. QXC will be in school and his Korean training will have completely worn off so I don't think he'll make much noise.

I know, let's increase the variance hugely and make it so that if you lose once, you're done! Excellent idea! Surprised that they've seemingly cut down to 40 players, although it makes it slightly shorter so I guess it works. Still, missing off Nerchio and Stephano is a pretty major error

I like knockout tournaments as well, but do we really need yet another knockout tournament? This, to me, is like the Premier League in football, while the GSL is the Champions Leagues. With NASL, you've got consistent games and you know that you can tune in to watch some high quality SC every day. You can also follow your favourite players, and unlike in knockout tournaments, there's no threat of then being knocked out early due to a loss. Both systems have their advantages and disadvantages. This format is slightly less exciting than a knockout tournament, and each game means less. However, it makes up for it by providing entertainment more consistently spread out over a longer period of time. As I said, I like both formats, but I think we have enough knockout tournaments, and I love having something to tune into every night.

Sure there are some "weaker" players in (Haypro, Incontrol) and really strong players left out (Stefano, Nerchio) but overall its a solid lineup. pity indeed. Whats more, Thorzain will be back from KR n 8th September... he would be a great addition TT
