You don't see a problem with MLG determining that a player who wins 1 BoX throughout the entire tournament is better than a player who wins 5?

Have you seen the same open bracket that the rest of us have? This events pool play especially was very weak.

Kinda a stupid rule imo that not many tournaments at least in Europe have but MLG do love their stupid rules. Extended series... Determining 3 way ties by seeds... etc etc...
Extended series is probably the biggest turn off about MLG.

It won't always be given. You have to be top 3 to be eligible. Code S won't be given to 4th place.

I hope puma gets code S, he is definitely code S caliber. I'd also be happy with DRG or a foreigner winning code S too.

And 1 series means nothing, DeMuslim is 100x better than iNControl, Machine, Haypro, TLO. Those four players really REALLY need to get kicked from pool play. It's getting pathetic. Edit. Moonan is a maybe. Although he'd probably always make it through open bracket.
haypro is actually really good.

In which sports is it that way? Not in any I follow at least.. Is it perhaps an NA vs EU-thing?

Well i dunno about really good, that's pushing it a bit. But he's decent certainly. If he had better macro he'd probably be pretty good.

I think it's 5 because the extended series was 2-1 to start, but still very good for him non the less, hopefully he can keep the momentum going tomorrow.

How the hell doesn't it make sense? DRG beat Select. It's as simple as that. Why can't people grasp the concept of head to head victories?
It would make perfect sense if both players records' were exactly the same. If Select lost one individual match less than DRG, he should be ahead. But I already know that it's the way MLG works. I think it is wrong, but it's the way it is.

Was thinking and mentioned that earlier. For example in football it goes on goals scored and goals against first before head to head records in England. Which is kinda the same as games won/lost in SC2.
