Stop the incessant whining and complaining in this topic pretty please. From page 8 and onwards this will have consequences.

I think Blizzard's system for running this is not really good at all. But that can be said about several of their systems~ On August 26 2011 20:03 Lylat wrote: I don't follow the SEA scene, but geographically Taiwan is in SEA. Sorry for my mystake though. Look up SEA on the internet.... You'll find anywhere that Taiwan is not part of SEA. Neither Geographically, nor politically. There is actually a SOUTH EAST ASIA, politically defined and all. Those are the countries in SEA. Aus/NZ are not in SEA, but they merely play in the SEA server. Taiwan is not in SEA. Neither is Japan. They aren't even close ~_~

It is silly to dismiss the others and think that GLaDe will take this. Just because 1 player got money to travel to Korea and lose a lot doesn't mean he's the only good player from the whole region. I would agree that he has one of the best chances, but it will be really tough for him. Last year's Blizzcon (when he was by far the most dominate player in SEA imo) he lost and got 4th? 3rd? idk.. but not 1st or 2nd. RedArchon got first. Now that GLaDe is not extremely dominate in SEA (he has TONS of competition now... not at all dominate like he was before) I don't really see his odds increasing?... The problem I see though is that, even though all the players here are good, not all of them are the best players in SEA. Regardless, I would guess RA or GLaDe to take it this year, but every single one of those players is just about as good as both RA and GLaDe (not quite as good, but just about as good).

After only 2 weeks of real practice he goes to Gamescom and makes it out of group beating the likes of HuK...on and off as he may be he's world class stuff.

Glade has almost a decade of experience in the professional scene of RTS. I think he's got this. Easy.

Rossi is high masters ranked player on Korea, and occasionally plays NA to take on GMs there, Moonglade needs no explanation, u all know him by now, and Redarchon took 1st place at the last one. mostly all of them have liquipedia pages which have been linked in the thread, and i encourage people to check em out, u might be surprised how much potential these guys have its a shame iaguz, edge and tgun are missing from this list, but these 8 are nothing to scoff at by any means, and i look forward to them bringing perspective to the sc2 community who are on the whole, quite oblivious to the SEA scene. (just because they're not recognized internationally doesn't actually mean they're not strong players, it only means they're not expected to be, so prepare to be surprised) ![]()

Rossi's won something like 4 ESL's and 3 Community Opens with final wins over Mafia, YYJ and Iaguz (twice). He also won the June IEM finals beating Iaguz, RedArchon and Targa on the way. deth took out Glade in the June IEM finals and has 2 ESL finals wins over Iaguz. Also this Iaguz wouldn't be out of place on this list but it's not like he's got winning records against many of them. Might just deserve a spot for the number of silvers he's racked up though, bloody consistent. PiG isn't that close to a spot, he's well known but definitely outside the top 8. Really excited for the event, will be there to watch the finals live on Sunday :D
