he seems like a pretty awkward guy Just because he doesn't want to speak infront of all the people when his english skills aren't the best? yes, just because of that. there's a translator and saying 3-4 sentences doesn't hurt any kind of man. i can see that he doesn't fancy doing it, but that's not the point what was your point? that he seems awkward? great point, bro. very worthwhile

Kinda sad. i agree for some actually. especially take shouldn't cheer up socke, let that do other people.

Yeah you can´t compare it with MLG. Fans go to MLG just for StarCraft, but at Gamescom there are so many people just randomly sitting down at the IEM booth. The Fans that came to HSC3 just for Sc2 were awesome

youre such a fanboy and in complete denial. puma's play was on a completely different level and he had him beat in almost every way possible. socke maybe came out on top of an engagement once, which didn't really matter anyway. think before your fanboyism takes over. and rage all you want because in reality he was outplayed and outclassed.

I find it very very unlikely that anyone expects 1-1-1 on Terminus Cross map ;P aint really steppes of war , i missed the socke iview but if he said so then I apologize for making a mistake :D but it won't be the last time I'm wrong either ;P nobody is always right Puma was indeed faking it a little bit with the bunker and stuff, but I still wouldnt expect it Hoped you guys had fun though, unfortunately not the super close semi's we expected, let's hope the Finals are going to be legendary^^
Again, hopefully you don't think I want to hate on you, I follow your casting since warcraft 3
I was much more annoyed because many people claimed for pages that Puma "outplayed" Socke in the 2nd game, which wasn't really the case.
EDIT: this is what I'm talking about

the crowd is tired.. because they have to stand in queues for 4+ hours to play 10 mins of diablo 3 and mass effect 3 :>

Yeah. But gamescom is not a SC2 Lan but world's biggest trade fair for video game related stuff. Many of the guys in the audience probably are not even sc2 fans. When I visit Cebit the IEM booth is one of the very few places where you actually are able to sit down and I guess that'S not much different at gamescom. And many use that since it's quite tiresome to walk all those halls the whole day.

Not only is it awesome to listen to if you're cheering for the same player, khaldor casting a player i like always gives me nerdchills, it's also better to be honest about your bias instead of trying to cover it up and probably failing at that.

I agree. booing is bad and i think MLG should have a no-booing policy and auto ban anybody who boos anybody at any of their events but that is completely beside the point

Frankly, its more of Socke's mistakes than Puma's outclassing him. Socke just got punished for the mistakes he made. Period.

I really don't want to seem hating right now, but damn Rotti, you are better than that... try commentating, observing and making right calls at the same time, it is hard as shit. Seriously DL Fraps and do it, it's HARD, 99% of the commentator bashing is ignorant bullshit. I really don't want to be misunderstood on this one. It's completely natural to not always catch each detail, each drop, and so on. But the 2nd game was casted wrong. Socke didn't expect an expand-build but blind-countered a 111 all-in. This is why he built early robo, this is why he built a useless immortal, this is why he cut probes. Consequently, this is why he ended up being behind. And THEN come the clueless people and write about how Puma "outclassed" Socke, just because he made a wrong read. It's not about caster-hate, but people ought to realize why Socke was behind basicly the whole game. Puma tricked Socke by building the bunker, that was the crucial moment in the game. Please realize that I love Rotterdam's casting, it just annoyed me that the LR-thread was flooded with people screeming how much better Puma is, when in fact all he did the 2nd game was trick Socke into a inferior build.
no offense but he got outplayed that game, it seriously looked like puma wanted him to think it was 111 (he did make that bunker up the ramp for a reason), he even moved his 3 marines back and let socke's probe to see theres no expansion, mind games are part of the game and if you fail to read your opponent you often lose the game
