I don't think it was random ( I could be wrong), but i think its preset so that A plays B and C plays D.

PS: yeah im pretty sure its preset. I just checked IEM Cologne last year and they used the same format.

try commentating, observing and making right calls at the same time, it is hard as shit. Seriously DL Fraps and do it, it's HARD, 99% of the commentator bashing is ignorant bullshit.

I really don't want to be misunderstood on this one. It's completely natural to not always catch each detail, each drop, and so on.

But the 2nd game was casted wrong. Socke didn't expect an expand-build but blind-countered a 111 all-in. This is why he built early robo, this is why he built a useless immortal, this is why he cut probes. Consequently, this is why he ended up being behind.

And THEN come the clueless people and write about how Puma "outclassed" Socke, just because he made a wrong read. It's not about caster-hate, but people ought to realize why Socke was behind basicly the whole game. Puma tricked Socke by building the bunker, that was the crucial moment in the game. Please realize that I love Rotterdam's casting, it just annoyed me that the LR-thread was flooded with people screeming how much better Puma is, when in fact all he did the 2nd game was trick Socke into a inferior build.

fixed. I am sure a lot of foreigners practice as hard as Koreans. 10+ hrs.
It's just that they need to be constantly coached and have better practice partners like Koreans.

If they are gambling, why are they winning every time?

Agreed, in the top level, where the differences among players are so small, pro players have to take risks to get ahead and win. Koreans take risks and because they understand the game better, their risk usually pays off.

Why are they bringing these top koreans? Honestly, i like MC but its boring to watch him dominate like this. IMHO they should bring out medium level code S players like Coca, clide, alive, alicia etc.

Only few foreigners can beat top koreans, and only in certain matchups in series not longer than bo3 and on a good day

note: dont say puma isnt code s quality pls, he obviously is

You don't want the best players involved? O.o
Foreigners arn't going to get better if they arn't pushed into it by being crushed.

Let me put it this way, do u want to watch 2 grandmaster vs gold games just to be able to watch grandmaster vs grandmaster finals. Im obviously exaggerating

I think there might a slight trend here.

Mana - Puma 2:0
Stephano - Puma 1:2 and very close, please stop saying there were no chances here.

all these -omg foreigners might have a chance- games happen on the first day of any event when the Koreans look jetlagged as shit.

2nd day actually. Killer is also Korean, long time code S player, maybe you should not cherry-pick your examples. Depends what your point actually is since you never actually stated anything.

yes, just because of that. there's a translator and saying 3-4 sentences doesn't hurt any kind of man. i can see that he doesn't fancy doing it, but that's not the point

AdBlocker is your friend!

i have an addblocker on for chrome, but its not blocking any of the esl commercials

because theyre from the same stream yource as the games, not taken from an ad server like the /commercial s on personal streams. adblocker cant differentiate because its the same source

Adblocker for Chrome is just inferior to Adblocker for Firefox. I switch to Firefox when I watch streams for extended periods of time because there are no stream ads at all.

I have firefox adblocker, didn't save me from those on esl stream in the breaks.

Same with Khaldor's casting if a German is playing, he is 200% biased. He knows it, he will not deny it and he will not care about it one bit, lol.

Kinda sad.

I find it very very unlikely that anyone expects 1-1-1 on Terminus Cross map ;P aint really steppes of war , i missed the socke iview but if he said so then I apologize for making a mistake :D but it won't be the last time I'm wrong either ;P nobody is always right Puma was indeed faking it a little bit with the bunker and stuff, but I still wouldnt expect it

Hoped you guys had fun though, unfortunately not the super close semi's we expected, let's hope the Finals are going to be legendary^^

Only way Puma would have avoided MC in the semifinals was to win agaist MaNa since winners wasnt matched agaist each other.
