I expect all the top players to try to qualify for this, including just about everyone in Korea :x I wouldn't be surprised if Koreans took all of the qualifying spots if this tournament has been posted/translated on one of their Korean SC2 sites. If not, a lot of Koreans probably won't know about it so the foreigners will have a better chance of qualifying. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Koreans are allowed to participate, but their participation is almost always followed by their winning. GL foreigners, you're gonna need it!
I wish IGN would divide the qualifiers into regions so we dont end up with a situation like NASL's
NASL had one online open qualifier with one spot awarded. It's hardly comparable at all.
I think he's talking about the qualification for season 2.

Yeah, the response so far as been a bit underwhelming. Only like 20 people signed up with only one Korean and hardly any of the top Europeans. Is $20 too much for top players even with how well they will be compensated if they make top 2 in the qualifier? After all the Korean complaining about how the NASL was not treating the players right, and then IGN comes in with even more than what the Koreans requested, well, I expected them to be all over it. Only time will tell I suppose, but how long is registration even open for this qualifier?

Are you seriously saying 20 dollars is too much to enter a professional tournament with a 100k prizepool? Wow.

No. I'm not saying that. It was a question related to the small sign-up numbers so far.
Love this! I was wary of IPL before it started, and frankly I didn't have a reason... but as of IPL2 I have realized it is the best and most professional foreign tourney out there! GL, I'll be watching :D
This was very short notice so people who are smart signed up for the 1st one as it's likely to be the easiest with the lowest turnout. Check needs to spread the word to other koreans..wtf...why is he the only korean signed up?!

Less competition for Check
Ha good point! More koreans would just decrease check's chances of qualifying! Check is smart!
