That was an oldschool game. Protoss fastish collossus vs terran randomly attacking with marines then having a bunch of marauders and marines with no starport units.

There's one important difference, and this isn't me saying the build is overpowered, yet. All of these builds that you mention were powerful because you couldn't scout them early enough, and commiting to a defence made you fall behind if the opponent was doing something else. There was never a real issue with stopping the 2 rax all-in, but with being safe against it while still being economically even with a 2 rax CC. Similarly, stopping the roach/ling all-in is easy if you know it's coming - the problem Protosses faced was that there was no good way to scout it, and blindly preparing for it would leave you behind against a Zerg just making drones.

Against the 1/1/1, Protosses know it's coming, do builds they believe should be optimal, and still get rolled by Terrans with mediocre execution. That's the problem, you can't even theorycraft a consistent response, much less apply one in an actual game.

I disliked the decision to add multiple raxes after expand instead of teching to starport. Socke exploited it perfectly.

He is/was english teacher ;o

He is studying it :-) Becoz you cannot be a teacher with 24 (well maybe it's possible, but I do not think he is already a teacher)

At 24 u can be a teacher.
Well, i heard that some other casters couple weeks ago said that Socke is an english teacher.
Not sure though.
I'm getting the derection.

TBH opening phoenix is the response. Shuts down the banshees.

Still very hard to hold however.

The problem is that opening phoenix isn't very strong vs many terran openings.

why not? You can totally be a teacher in the states at 24. 4 years uni (you can get certified at most large universities). Maybe an extra year doing regional certification and you're set. 18+5=23

You have to add raxes after gasless expand or you can die to even light 3gate expand pressure. He should've seen the lack of sentries (=not 3gate) and teched faster though. He misread the situation/scouted badly and got countered hard.

I have to agree. His pronunciation is OP.

Also has nice polite voice, opposite of his metal style

He is studying english as a teacher.

That explains a lot :D

All this talk about casters got me thinking. With Tastosis, Day9, Husky and JP casting at the next MLG event, I reckon Day9 and Husky are going to be casting some games together. Can't help but think that that would be the worst commentator mix ever. Just venting my concern.

Now, please carry on with the games

But in Germany its more like: 13years of school, ~4.5years (at least i think) at university + 1year military service inbetween
unless he skipped classes he should be studying still

He knows he has a couple of raxes, that's all. He has no idea if he has a CC or 7 raxes or what. SCV/marine allin - even with diestar's CC, would've demolished Socke. Sad.

first of all you can start your studies in germany at age 20. you also have to do a "referendariat" for two years after you studied at the university which is a period of time comparable to an internship.

With the New German school system (G8), you can be a teacher with 23-24, you make your ABI with 17 and then study till 21 + 2 years Internship, which makes you a 23 year old teacher

wrong. you graduate with 18 unless you skipped a year. also you have to do a referendariat.
