GSL needs to stop giving codeA spots to foreigners. They simply do not deserve any of those spots. I feel really really bad for all the better korean players they didnt get a spot because of them.
Foreigners just have a chance if they stay months (no not just 1^^) in korea and train in a progaming house. Otherwise they are going to keep getting rolled.
And gstl is no real competition compared to the gsl. If you win there it means soo much less.
I really hope GSL stops giving those spots because its just a little freakshow.

FUCK. YOU

just get the fuck out of here. if you can't support these amazing guys who traveled half way around the world to try and fulfill their dreams, then get the fuck out of here and don't post in LR threads.

Seriously, what is wrong with people!? It seems we're all quick to forget how HuK used to be defeated by his own nerve issues? and now he's one of the top 5 protosses in the world.

seems we're quick to forget that SaSe, nAni, and Thorzain are all completely new to the Korean scene, that they literally JUST hopped off a plane from Sweden after going to Warsaw and were thrust into a GOMtv booth with hardly any time to prepare.

All you idiots who shout shit like ESPORTS ESPORTS like retarded monkeys and then when the people that represent US, the non-koreans, lose, you start bashing them and calling them 'freakshow'?

NO! what have YOU accomplished? GTFO

Jinro, I hate your slump because I love you, please get yourself out of your own head and get back on from

nAni, I love your super solid style, I know you'll do better with more booth experience and korean training experience

Thorzain, once you start training with koreans you'll be a powerhouse Terran, I'm sure of it.

SaSe, I'm sorry i'm not a big follower of yours, but i promise i'll pay more attention now that you're in korea!

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU

I'm English, Swedish people do not represent me anymore than Koreans or Americans do.

I'm American. The swedes don't represent me either... UNTIL YOU REALIZE THAT THEY'RE THE BEACON OF HOPE FOR THE WHOLE FOREIGNER SCENE! You need to realize that supporting these guys means supporting esports and the sustainability of SC2 worldwide! The mentaility you are coming at it with is frankly disgusting.

Perhaps you see it that way I don't. Only English people represent me, after I just want to see the best players and judging by today foreigners aren't it.

Did you really ever see it any other way? Koreans have always been the best and I'm 99% certain will always remain the best.

btw i support gsl and mlg for giving us a great partnership whereby koreans are sent to mlg and foreigners are sent to gsl code A/S.

I think people are just getting way too angry about foreigner vs korea. It's not about that. there are some foreigners who i love watching and koreans who i also love watching.

if you are a true sc2 fan, you would watch it regardless of who is playing. you want to watch the best games out there.

if you only wanna watch your own nationality players then that's fine and that's your opinion and right. but don't whine about koreans and foreigners because the majority don't care about nationality and only wanna see the best games and i speak for the majority imo.

Unless Sniper turns out to be godly, than probably not. Check and Yugioh have been around forever, they are mid-Code A players at best (especially Yugioh). Lucky seems that way as well (but he hasn't played a ton of live matches).

WHAT THE FUCK?! Sad day for foreigners.

this is exactly how it was when I was watching it live. I stayed up late and was like ok.. Thorzain got this for sure, and then he won the first game, and I was like "duh, told ya" then he lost the last 2 sets and I went T_____T.

OOORRR you can actually care about the quality of gameplay over anything else. The mentality that you HAVE to support them just because they're foreigners is disgusting. EVERY fan has the right to choose who they root for, I mean, when Kobe Bryant went to Beijing, China, there was a friggin huge roar of applause the moment they saw him in the oepning ceremony. I'm not saying you shouldn't support foreigners, but rather, YOU SHOULD LET PEOPLE CHOOSE WHOM TO ROOT FOR, IT'S THEIR CHOICE.

Besides, you can always watch tournaments like the IPL where there aren't any Koreans so the viewership goes to the foreign scene instead. People who want foreigners only can watch those and stop complaining and people who want the best games can just watch the GSL.

And I remember in a thread about Carn, the French Terran who came to Korea on his own to train, Naniwa himself stated the guy doesn't deserve a Code A spot just because he tried hard since there are so many Koreans training hard (probably harder) to make it as well.

I hope the foreigners will not give up that easily. They must make the best use of their time in Korea and train up. If they give up the foreign fans would be hugely disappointed.

I'm hoping that the humiliating foreigner defeat gives Naniwa, SaSe, and maybe even Thorzain the drive to train hard and long in Korea to become the best.

Sniper has played very well from what I've seen but he has yet to be up against someone really challenging.

As he gets further we may see.

Man it makes me so frustrated and sad to see + Show Spoiler +
Jinro loose.

The guy has such strong potential, and even in game he uses very smart, patient
and up to date strategies. It's just the execution, his micro and mechanics not being
up to date, and those small flavors like the baneling-land-mine that messes up
so much. Also, myself I never succeed making a + Show Spoiler +
Thor-heavy mech play
against a Zerg as Jinro did G2, when Zerg responds with many Roaches
Jinro should have swapped to more Siege Tanks and less Thors, he
did it too late and Roaches ate his Thors.

ThorZaIN has also performed quite well and + Show Spoiler +
lost whilst giving the opponent a proper
fight first.

The other two are just not on the level of GSL, their short term micro-intensive tactics might
work in Europe, but not in Korea where players can cheese, macro, harass, 200 food attack
and all in the same game

jinro played ok but made a few stupid mistakes which cost him both games

he could have won just as easily, and it seems sniper just got owned by thorzains style in game 1 since hes used to super aggressive terrans with blue flame, thorzain just threw him off but then the next 2 games were pretty easy for him once he knew how to play thorzain

This man has it right, even if he was banned for flaming somebody lol. There is way too much negativity in this thread when we should be supporting these guys. FXO improved over a month long span, and I'm sure these guys will too, if they happen to stay. Hope they do.
