I hear this too much from foreign pros. Naniwa probably woulda lost on any map playing like that. Foreigners need to stop looking for excuses and practice like koreans if they want to win $$ anymore.
That's silly and true at the same time. I agree with they need to practice more, but you can't help but look at that and say that the maps are blatantly imbalanced. It definitely had a factor in how Nani did, and he could have done better on another map, and possibly won a game or the series.

Does anyone think they would play better if they were training for 2 weeks in korea in advance ? because Nani went from MLG to EU invitational to korea, Jinro was in China, same as Sase and none of them had more than a day or 2 of practice wherever they are staying now. I still have faith that a month or longer can let them improve and own some faces in GSL.

You need basically insanely perfect micro to play top level toss. And people say its the easy race.

I don't think you get his point/humor; pointing out that naniwa living in Korea will now make him Korean and not a foreigner anymore

Wow i expected at least a victory from naniwa sad to see the loses, but as long as the better players won you cant be too upset

Making it into GSL once is not doing well.
Idra, Jinro, and Huk all made it into the top 8 at least once.
Jinro had a shot at winning one.

Oh my...... Black Wednesday...
I really wish thorzain and naniwa had arrived a week ago in Korea. So they could prepare and get rid.of jetlag. Shame to see them lose. Also surprised sase lost 2-0 after his great run at cpl China. Not surprised Jinro lost, don't think he can come back to code a either( except through mlg )

That was expected even at this time last year. For company long term objective, Gom shouldn't focus too much on foreigners as they did, they should really develop their Korean fan base. As a local sports, 90% of players are Koreans, but foreigner fanbase is even larger than local fanbase, not much Koreans actually watch GSL, that is not a good sign for Gom.

Dude, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. The players involved in the first season was so bad... IdrA was practicing since beta, of course he would qualify.

And who's fault is that? The Koreans train for 10 hours a day by playing customs with each other. Most foreigners do some laddering for an hour or two. There's nothing necessarily wrong with laddering to practice every once in a while, but just like with any other sport, you need other people who you know pushing you along. You need coaches and you need someone to make you practice for hours on end until you get it right.
The Koreans have that; foreigners don't... yet.
