Cause its not profitable to go to MLG for EU guys that arent in the pools.

The same reason why there are no NA guys in DH BYOC's

Nada played almost only TvPs and looked quite uncomfortable in all of his series. I think either he's really not good at TvP at the moment or he's jet-lagged. Go stephano !

Some say it isn't an excuse, but HuK had the jet lag from korea to california, then from california to europe in less than 2 weeks. Afaic, I would not expect him to bring his A game with his over 9000 hours late in sleep.

But I do think he's the best P foreigner, even if he failed this tournament.

Like Tyler said, even if you're the best player at an event, you will need some amount of luck to actually win it. Considering Huk won 2 tournaments in Europe (and he played against koreans in both), he is still a very strong player. Just like it takes more than one tournament to say someone is the best, it'll take more than one tournament to say he's done for.

yes, he is. everyone has bad days, huk just played MLG. he basically flies around the world within 1 week, playing 2 tours.

And yes, MLG is stupid for europeans, since they have to attend open bracket - unlike koreans. cannot expect them to attend every MLG to once get a lucky bracket / a shot at a pool play slot. pretty dumb system.
And still: Koreans would pwn anyway^^

Because the MLG tourney system is pretty stupid for EU players.
You can't expect them too fly to America every single MLG for only a small chance to win, + you can't even win that much money.
Not saying MLG should change their system cuz it's fine, but they don't have to expect a lot of EU players showing up.

yup a specially most top EU players dont care about gsl, and GSL S seed was the main magnet bringing all the koreans tbh

Yeah, the open bracket system doesn't work very well for Europeans. I think IPL and NASL are better targets for top European players, though I can see why NASL's times are not ideal.

He does play pretty risky at times though. If a protoss players fails to take advantage of that Morrow will crush them no matter who they are.

It was one Korean and Huk. Good showing by Europeans, but it really doesn't change anything in terms of how far Korea is ahead of the pack.

Let's just wait and see how ThorzaiN & Naniwa will perform in Korea before we make any new statements. It's kinda iffy but i think if MVP, MMA & DRG were at Assembly there would be some Koreans in the ro8 represented.

I do think that the top tier players in Europe is more competitive than that of the US tho.

I agree that Elfi doesn't seem to be so strong against Zerg and Stephano is kicking ass. But I am not so sure about Mana vs Sjow. I'd say it is a close one and give it to Sjow. Also, Morrow is going to eat BratOK alive.

Where was this European power at DH? All I saw was EU falling like flies to Bomber, MC, Moon and July.
