Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you.

Surprised the finals are bo3. Still, grats to MVP, such a boss.

GSL group selections are in two and a half hours, so the (admitedly few) people complaining about koreans having no personality should tune in and have their minds blown.

if you think white ra has a good reception purely because he's 'older', then you merely prove that you're too young to understand us 'grown ups'.

being more mature doesn't mean that you lose personality. otherwise you're saying that everyone on the planet loses their personality and becomes boring when they become an adult.

maybe whining like a petulant kiddo with an oversized ego like idra, huk and pretty much any other american server player <25 years old is what constitutes 'personality' ?

in that case, boy i had the best personality in the world when i was 17 years old!

else maybe people are fond of white ra because they're just fed up of the embarrassing borderline aspergers behaviour from certain younger players.

I'm so glad Keen is still code S because he's sure to do something creative. Nestea even brought Cheese to troll Rain last time lol. Looking forward to some Korean shenanigans

Great tournament MLG. Caught a match here and there over the weekend, and everything seemed tip top.

Just wondering, but has anyone coming from losers into the grand finals won a MLG? Having to win two best of threes seems like a huge disadvantage.

I think I'm the only person kinda sick of seeing Koreans dominate everything. Can we grab all Code A guys next time? I'm sure Puzzle would love the chance to test his skill out against foreigners.

Agreed. This MLG was so boring for me. Every second game had koreans with zero personality. I didn't see a single "omg epic" matchup like huk vs idra or something along those lines which MLG is famous for. Every day when I checked the matchlist upcoming for the day it just got more and more boring. I can't blame the koreans or the management because it would be unfair to not include them but...boy does it make events more boring for foreigner viewers. We already have gom...I'd like to see some foreigners play for once.

The skill gap between koreans and foreigners are getting bigger and bigger just like in BW.

Extremely rude, just wanted to point this comment out for more people to see. I wonder how many of you out there thinks just like this guy. Can't beat them? lets try to find other ways to bash them so you can feel better about your self and whatever "race/nationality" you relate to. You are a pathetic person, as are all the people who share your view.

Lol? Calm down bro. Just my opinion, I prefer watching foreigners, I'm pathetic because I prefer watching foreigners? Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean you need to go on a hissy-fit. Your post was more ban-worthy than mine, I'm not bashing any players or anybody at all, I'm saying I found this MLG boring compared to others, just a plain opinion. Events aren't perfect, just because it's starcraft doesn't mean it's perfect and heaven forbid there is a slight bit of criticism. You on the other hand are attacking me for these views, not very fair.

I'd rather watch Huk vs Idra than GanZi vs MVP...sorry if that makes me "pathetic".

It was your comment of "Koreans with zero personality". Just because you don't relate to them doesn't mean they don't have personality. You're just stereotyping all Koreans as having zero personality which is stupid.

I'm fairly sure that anyone who knows what personality is would agree and say that there was minimal personality in the Koreans this MLG.

Um, can you cite my any examples of where the foreigner match-ups were brimming over with personality this MLG? It's not like anyone is going to be talking about the zany antics of Sjow v. Haypro for weeks to come. And having Boxer play deep into an SC2 tourney is all the drama that a true Starcraft fan should ever need.

Idra vs Cruncher
White Ra in general. Why do you think he got such an awesome reception?
How about Tyler?

White Ra just proves my point. People find him interesting because he's older, and supposedly super nice and plain vanilla. It's his LACK of personality that most people find endearing.

For gods sake stop abusing the word 'personality' to describe how much of an ass someone is. -_-

WhiteRa has more personality than the majority of progamers. And better too.

Watching GSL is like watching the NFL, and watching foreign tourneys is like watching the NCAA. MLG and now all the big tourneys out there is like watching a NFL vs NCAA football showmatch.

I look forward to the Code S selections more than I look forward to the actual matches. They're pretty damn entertaining.

This is actually a good comparison. And the best of the foreigner scene then go to Korea to become the best in the world. Like going from NCAA to NFL.

The real problem is they imported too many Korean *Terrans*. We had all of 1 Protoss and 1 Zerg being at Anaheim.

The problem is that the list of Protoss & Zergs that'd be good to bring over is very, very short. We're actually just short of having NesTea at an MLG to pretty much cover everyone good.

Actually, looking through the Korean ELO for SC2, our options pretty much are down to:

Protoss:
Younghwa
Puzzle

Zerg:
Nestea
Leenock

Okay, so I guess the main complaint is that there isn't enough good Zergs or Protoss inside Korea to bring in. >_<

Catch an early flight? He's going to be #1 for Points at years end, more than likely. The small difference won't matter.

The funny thing is that they're very, very polite, while at the same time smack-talking each other. I find it hilarious.

Oh yeah, and Jay & John probably translating again. Those guys are great!
