Furthermore, I wouldn't say I approve entierly of the ,,personality'' thing, I think that being a good player should be the most important thing, but it seems that non-koreans just don't train as much, even if they get paid to play all day like the koreans do. Aside from the ladder, which I heard is better , I don't understand why people like Idra can't compete with the koreans just because they're in USA, that's bullshit, they can't compete because they don't train as much, and so they should. ( again, the Korean ladder thing pops up here , but Naniwa can stiill take games of koreans) Drama , once at a high enough level, I feel is important however, let's not forget Idra used to be able to compete more-or-less with koreans , and them messing with him is FUN, and is what sports is all about after all, bragging rights for the players. PS: Somebody said that White-Ra doesn't have a personality and moreso a lack-there-of, I disagree, he is a very mannered person that is older and has a family, and on top of that plays a very unique style of protoss, I haven't seen the koreans do anything aside from the standard things. This MLG was a dissapointment for me in terms of games, the organising was good, except the god awful voucher system.\ | ||

Therefore I can only speak for myself, but I'd really prefer more racially diverse finals, even if it means not inviting some of the top tier Terrans. I see them in GS(T)L anyways. For me, a HUGE part of esports has always been identifying myself/my playstyle with the players I watch. Not only the BO-stealing part but more generally the "damn I want to be able to play like that". I don't get this kind of thrill when watching TvT. I appreciate that they are extremely skilled, but for me as a protoss player it's still not that entertaining. Again, just my opinion... | ||
