Cant believe theres so much hate in these threads while we're so blessed with a wonderful event, with wonderful games. Last warning, whine and insult the players or commentators? See you. |

Are you serious? Most of the Koreans are just clones of White-Ra - well mannered guys who can all come up with cute one-liners.
Seriously, the stuff MMA/MC did at the last MLG had way more personality than anything from the foreigners (the kamehameha, the throat-slashing, etc.). Btw, you must have missed MMA destroying his CC in his first game against DRG.
MVP is basically a younger Korean White-Ra: nice, endearing, and well-mannered. Sure, he might not give vodka to guys he meets, but he's also only 20 years old.
Edit: see, the biggest difference isn't anything else, it's the language barrier. Personality, unless of the physical antics variety a la MC, doesn't come off in translations.

Just sad that there were some awesome games this weekend but people found it boring because their favorite potty-mouth didn't do well. Why do you think it has to be drama? Why can't it just be the Koreans messing around with foreigners similarly to how MC does it? I'm going to say something, and I hope I won't get flamed for it simply because people interpret it as "offensive". Look, Koreans are great. They are entertaining pro gamers that I LOVE watching for the amount of skill displayed(although mirror match ups get tiresome after a while, but that would happen regardless of who is playing). But frankly, I feel that some of the foreigners get the feeling that the Koreans are all just "we play for keeps, not for fun, we will crush you!". And frankly, when you don't get to see something like how MC/MMA messed with Idra at Columbus, I think that feeling becomes more believable. *flame shield up*
they come from the other side of the world they cant speak english
they cant give the drama u want they were invited, payed, hoped to win games not to bad mouthing other player they didnt BM to respect different culture they're having in the live tournament

It made me relive their TSL series.

Majority of people agree, good players = entertaining games. Foreigners gotta step up their game, show us good play and interesting new builds, and strategies. Ignore the trolls that say how it's boring because Koreans dominated, they're a minority on TL.

There was no hype at all for that series. It was angry nerd #1 vs bad angry nerd #2. Their TSL series was shit, so was this one.
You seem to be a guy who loves to watch drama, I recommend WWE

How can people say the Koreans didn't have personality? Boxer was grinning ear to ear after he beat rain, MVP looked very happy when he won. People say MC has personality; the truth is MC speaks some broken english.
The language barrier breaks almost all attempts at displaying a personality. Have any of you ever been on a stage in front of thousands of people and all 1 person speaks the same language as you(the translator)? I suggest you watch the facial features and the hands of the koreans as they are given interviews, it shows most of them are brimming with emotion.
And besides, so far I have seen 3 specific names given out of people that have "personality" among dozens of people we saw in pool play and championship brackets, while there was a total of 8 Koreans. Those are the guys that the oddballs, not the norm.

That's basically it. Convince all of these Koreans to speak their broken English more, and suddenly, in the eyes of these complainers, they'll have more "personality."
