I think that's sc2 with black ops in the back ground. Unless they've changed the reach stage since last season

The whole point is to gain points for a better position to win the grand finals. The whole purpose of the regular events is to accumulate points.

That's not a worthy argument, the quality of the open bracket players far surpasses some of those in the pool, and you have 1 bo3 and then an extended series before you're eliminated. Ganzi Alicia Rain Choya QXC Jinro DeMu ToD WhiteRa, all of these players end up knocking each other out before 4 people can make it into pool play. 4 out of hundreds of players, there is no record for pool play it's just one series, people have off days, especially with the fact that many of them are playing for 4-6 hours the first day and 10-12 the second day, straight, with minimal breaks. You have to attend multiple MLG's in order to make it into pools, I believe ThorZain is the only one to qualify in 1 event?

After he won a MLG he didn't needed to go back to the Open Bracket anymore.

They have to weed themselves out over like 200+ competitors. Plus, they have to face competition which could be better than what is actually in the pool play along the way due to the pool play not going by overall skill (how could you even measure it), but MLG measured skill. I think the Winner's Bracket Open players going into the Pool Play is done fine. It gives you an opportunity to ensure Top 6 right off the bat. I think an easy and a good tweak they should consider is making 8 players jump to the pool play from open. The reason I think this is the best idea is so that they can make the last place player in the the pool play actually play in the first round of the LB in the Championship Bracket. This would help remove bad players from pool play easier with more players getting a shot to advance up the ranks in pool play and the players finishing dead last having top 32 guarranteed and not top 28. (Those points could make a difference). This could be considered somewhat a plus to the still 4 guys coming from the LB into the bracket because they will actually face the worst of the pool play instead of having to face the already weeded out Open Bracket players in the first round.
