They know Yellow hasn't played this much. I highly doubt they were expecting Jaedong vs Flash in SC2. The only reason this is boring is because we (as regular SC2 viewers) are used to very high level play and know the intricacies of SC2. The bad play from Yellow is from not knowing what the units do or what upgrades exist, etc. His actual mechanics are fine. You are missing the point. Hardcore BW fans and BW players are used to super high level play from Pro BW players (such as flash, jaedong, and many more) and this game probably won't satisfy them... (I'm actually reading posts on Korean BW / SC2 forum and all I see is ppl talking trash on SC2 lol after watching this show match) Man it's like that on these forums too. BW fans shit on SC2 regardless. You are naive if you think that good SC2 games would somehow turn all the BW to SC2. It wont and the vocal whiners will never change.
Yea I know... I just want SC2 to gain more support in Korea.. I love BW and I watch almost every games on Ongamenet but I play SC2 more now and it just saddens me to see SC2 getting trashed by ppl

They know its is just a showmatch, its suppose to be fun. It is why they have friendly banter, it is why there is so much chatting and laughing. Those BW fans may have bias towards their own game but they also are not stupid enough to judge a entire game based on a simple showmatch between old rivals, one player who probably does not even own a copy of the game. Doesn't matter a lot of casual gamers / bw players (who don't follow sc2 at all) want to see a good game even though they were expecting a bad game (because it is a show match between a pro vs a gold level player) Doesn't hurt to give them a impressive game to show that SC2 is indeed a very fun game I'm not saying they will be judging the whole game based on this game they are already judging SC2 and they are judging it pretty badly lol so I'm just saying this was a really good chance to show them a really good game of sc2 to hardcore / oldschool BW fans A 3rd time. BW lovers wont be impressed even IF Yellow practiced a month. The level of those games will not be close to high level BW. Boxer and Yellow are famous and old school, you need people like Puma/MC/Nestea for really high level games to impress BW fans. Nada/Juli and the others can be seen at the GSL all the time. This was specifically a game between two old school BW pros. You want something completely different to what this was. BW fans / players don't watch GSL and most never even heard about GSL even though they live in Korea... Nada and July were both famous BW players and they are both very good in Sc2 as well so that's why I'm saying it would've appealed to the BW fans
.......... If they don't want to watch GSL, it's not like any kind of game shown at this event is going to change their mind anyway.....

If I'm not mistaken, the SPL finals are also tonight, (19 hours until it's aired)
A lot of people in Korea are probably really hype about that, I can't really tell if it will be a good or bad thing about SC2 being pushed into Korea.
On one hand, they can laugh at it, kind of like how a lot of people do already, or they can alternatively remember how they saw Boxer or Yellow playing BW on stage like that, and feel like Sc2 is growing rapidly.
Just a thought, but as a fan of both BW and Sc2, I can't wait to see more of each!
