People were calling his build a "blind counter" but he read what Coca was doing based off of what he scouted with his overlord (one base play from Coca) and opening fast roach is safe vs. all one base zerg openings at that timing. At worst, Coca also opened roach and they would be roughly even. At best, Coca opened baneling and NesTea is ahead. Game 1 wasn't that risky either -- NesTea grabbed gas before pool so that he'd have quick speed and could reinforce his defense at the gold if necessary. These are extremely well calculated builds by NesTea and he really understands how to extract every advantage from the matchup. | ||
