So, this is like the Karate Kid all over again? Huk needs be taught by the Asian senseis of Starcraft 2 to truly become enlightened?
I think the KOrean scene is important. 11 to 12 hours of practice a day is like 40 games a day.12000 games for 300 days. i mean someone who practices 4 hours a day will only play 4000 games for 300 days.

Can anyone tell me all the results after the july vs moon games?
|
Why is it necessary to divide the foreign competitors? Its better to just root for non-Koreans beating Koreans

They say it takes at least 10,000 hrs to become a master at specific activities/professions.

I guess that makes MC the Mr. Miyagi of Starcraft 2.

Geez, I guess it must take 20,000 hrs+ to become a grand master then.

I'm wondering, will the VODs or something be uploaded to the nasl site or something? I missed the semifinals but would really like to check them out later

I'd take dimaga/throzain/sen/naniwa/idra before huk because they've been much more consistent. Idra consistent? Is that a joke? Huk won Dreamhack, HSC3 and is doing fantastic in Code S. Why do I have to name a foreigner more consistent?
It won't give Huk's consistency any more credibility.

10,000 hours is approximately 416 days. 1 year 51 days.
that is a ridiculous amount of time of dedication. of course you are right. you are talking about muscle memory via APM. And of course memorization of strategems. Just like Chess. That is the ultimate goal. I would like to see a Kasparov or Magnus Carlson of SC2

Idra: "what..." HuK: "MO MONEY" :D wow if canada has won more money then USA then that's pretty jokes considering our populations well Huk is American too so.. Huk was born and raised in Canada. He's Canadian...he runs the maple leaf. Americans always trying to steal all our talent...from mkotherfrigging Jim Carrey to John Candy. Stop claiming all the talented Canadians. nono that's not my point. I think he's more Canadian too. In fact I'm Canadian. But he was born in the US so it doesn't make sense to use him in the population argument (he would go down in the US census as a member of their population) I was wrong. He's not Canadian at all. He's American. Canada doesn't have even one gosu player. What shame... kiwikaki.... And TT1 is pretty baller too. Took some wins for us in the WC IIRC

Sure you could say if it was Nestea executing this style MC woulda gotten roflstomped, but let's face it - this is probably the first time a zerg gotten into the lategame(and in a decent position at that) with MC opening stargate. Yes, if Nestea was executing this style and it was the first time MC had seen it, MC would have probably lost.
No. More likely it's:
1) Sen is a very good player with similar mechanics to the top level pros.
2) MC doesn't have a solid answer to ling/bling/infestor heavy compositions. Which would explain why he called it imba in the interview and hydra/roach/corruptor "easy".

I think chainfire just answered your question. more dedication. but that is hard to find, since SC2 is not as lucrative as Chess or even professional sports. Which is ridiculous that a baseball player should earn more than a chess player or SC2 player.

Puma's level of game understanding is pretty sick thus far. I wish I could play TvZ like he does ( such crisp transitions from a multi-layered strategy...timed out to almost perfection). Scouting and getting good reads on your opponent is everything in starcraft 2. Know your enemy and know thyself!
