Was pretty painful watching July throw that game away :/

It should really be an extended series bo3 in that situation.
Winner -> loses to best player Loser -> beats worst player (or in this case, don't even play anyone, but that's not really the format's fault)
That is not even at all. You should still have an advantage as the winner of the original game.

for people complaining about the format, july had 2 chances to advance after the first game. tester only had 1.

man I still cant believe how July played that game. Hats off to trickster for some of the things he did but that game was balls and July should have it won. Jesus fing christ. WHY?!

Don't HTs behave exactly the same as in Broodwar? In broodwar if you had 12 templar selected and you casted storm, it would drop 12 storms on one spot at once. Smart cast makes it so 1 click= one storm. Actually if the HTs were magic boxed it was a nice way to cast multiple storms spread out at once.

That camera was giving me motion sickness. o_o

I don't get it, would it really have been so hard to get all 3 players to each play each other?

Unfair system.... July also has a free win against Rain! So normaly Tester has to play against Nestea, so that it will be fair!

How exactly is it GOMs fault that a player withdrew? Or should they change their format every time ONE player out of 32+ decides to drop out.

Yeah his win against Rain was really impressive. July had 1 more shot than trickster at going to RO16, but couldn't capitalize on either of them. Trickster had 1 shot and won, end of story. A game vs nestea isn't really another shot though.

No, it's the old MSL/OSL format and it's really fair actually. Rain pulling out of the bracket just screwed July over. Rain would've probably lost against Nestea anyway so this is what it would've probably come down to anyways.

new format announced: everyone loves it
july goes 1-1 with tester but goes down because of new format: OMG IT SUCKS

blame rain, not gom; he was the one who forced this awkward position upon gom.
