I still don't get the whole thing about getting angry for shouting "X for bonjwa" in the midst of the hype. But that's just me, I guess. because you have no idea what a bonjwa is... I have to agree with the guy... You guys call Bonjwa any other playe that has a good month, or week. Do you guys even know how dominant you have to be to be even considered a Bonjwa? NaDa, Jeadong, or even July arent considered bonjwa, cuz they werent dominant for VERY LONG TIME. They were great players( jeadong is still ), but to be bonjwa u need to really be at the top, and nobody can actually touch u. Look for Savior's vods on Youtube from his dominance, and you will see what a true bonjwa really is.( BTW. Savior was the first BONJWA, later they started calling other players Bonjwa as well, but the origin of the dominance comes from Savior)
??
Nada is one of the bonjwas.
List of accepted bonjwas - Boxer, Oov, Nada, Savior, Flash.
If Flash is bonjwa then Jaedong is too.
Jaedong >> Flash
That's why Flash completely dominated for a year and was being called a God by Korean fans, right? This discussion has been done to death - Flash reached bonjwa status, deal with it, now get that talk out of this thread.

BoxeR being the first. Technically Savior is first. Well yes. People started thinking about bon jovis after Savior's domination, and that's when they started recalling people who dominated for an extended period of time much like he did. That's when people added BoxeR to the list. Taking into account the chronological periods of their domination, BoxeR's reign as the emperor came first, before anyone even started thinking about banjos. I'm still rather disappointed with Savior allegedly throwing matches for a big payday, but he's only human after all. Corrected

I don't think Savior ever threw matches personally. He was the middleman between the players and the betters though.

God guys, stop calling them Bon Jovis it sounds stupid. And yeah to be a Bonjwa you have to be absolutely dominant, and even that takes a lot of time. Savior was when the term came to be then they applied it to older figures.
We won´t be seeing SC2 Bonjwas anytime soon, sure we have some dominant players but so far no one stands out.

I love how every SC2 thread somehow turns to a SC1 Jaedong bonjwa discussion.

There can't be 2 bonjwa's from same generation.
And back to NaDa. NaDa was ONLY considered a Bonjwa because he was the most consistant player. NOT because he dominated the scene. ( That's why a lot of people are questioning this decision, same thing with July - Gold mouse winner and the player that invented Stacking Mutalisks)
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE.

I hate that feeling you get in fantasy when you see the player you almost took get three kills. Long season, hopefully Losira pays off

I have a feeling that the people arguing about any SC2 players being Bonjwa haven't actually seen any BW games.

After reading that article, I'm more impressive with Nada than Jeadong.

DRG for the Bon Jovi!!! GOGOGO!! Never see him fighting against any other races btw He's hell good against terran but dunno about other matchups
He's totally an ACE however, i can only imagine of being 1-3 down, then being called to booth and taking the champion team 4-3! I am excited even while i am imagining

Ya I don't think he knows how much Nada dominated. Hell, I'll admit I don't have the best grasp on it, but I know he dominated many events.
Speaking of which, I find it so annoying that he is going to school instead of focusing full time on sc2. Seeing his results while factoring in that he is going to school makes me wonder why he doesn't just say "hey... if I just spend all my time on sc2, I could dominate sc2 (or at least do even better than he does now...) and go to school afterwards, if I still would need money and/or couldn't get a coaching job."

He values school more than SC2 at the moment. (Wise decision, IMHO, since school opens up many more opportunities for him further on down the line than dominating SC2 for a couple years would do.) Plus, it's not as if he needs to devote more time to SC2 as is, given that he's already one of the top Terrans at the moment. So long as he doesn't start slumping or sucking too much, I'd say he's fine.
Not to mention, depending on what you're studying, it's pretty difficult to pick school back up unless you're very dedicated to it. If I were to take a year off right now - rising third year in college at the moment - I'd be very close to fucked just in terms of how much I'd have to relearn.

But no one is saying nobody is a bonjwa xD Someone said "DRG for next Bonjwa ?" then next 20 pages are people offended that explain that he is not a bonjwa, which is way more annoying that people using bonjwa lightly imo.

Nada didnt dominate? lol. Its not bad when you talk about something to educate yourself first. Not to mention that July didnt invented stacking mutalisks.
