Sadly it seems I have to put this up yet again. Any of the following types of posts will be met with immediate bans:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining/Off topic arguing.
Stick to the games and enjoy the event and its free services and coverage. |
I hope this prompts more players to go to Korea. I am happy that Huk won cause he's been doing well in GSL considering the number of good players competing there. He's had a bit of luck on the match ups but it goes without saying that it still takes a considerable amount of skill to take it.
Just like how Moon beat Naniwa. Bomber beating July was a bit of a surprise to me... Cause I love July's playing style and I know he's confident against Terrans.

QFT. Watching Huk stream you see at least two important things: 1. He plays like a boss, especially tight ff/blink micro. 2. He plays against the top Korean players on ladder all the time and holds his own against anybody
You'd also know how bad he wants this kind of win (e.g., playing BW championship highlight reels from youtube all the time during breaks). I was worried that would affect his nerves, but if he's ready to show it on the biggest stages now, Korea better look out.

And that again, proves that you need hard-work and dedication to win StarCraft2 events, not korean blood.

That arena for the finals looks downright amazing.
Day 3 was a great conclusion to the tournament. Great work by d.Apollo and Day9, they made those exciting games even more so. Day9's definitely gonna need to throw down some lozenges after that casting

Well, all the games casted by day9 (most playoff games, all finals and semis, and quite a few group matches) are on his website.
Not sure about the other group matches though.

Where can I find the vods to Naniwa v Moon and Sen v July?

Its like that Poker commercial on TV. "You know the funny thing about Lady Luck... she likes to hang out with the guys who practice the most."

LoL prize pool was 100k USD!
Don't worry. I am aware SC2 has lower prize pools because there are just SO many tournaments that every is pumping high and low production value into.

I know I'm supposed to stick to game talk, but I have to say that to me this was the best casting i've seen yet. It made me send the games to old sc1 players i went to high school with. Bravo!
The bomber vs moon second game was my favorite, but all the series were amazing!

Dammit! I missed the entire day. Were the games any good? I was skimming through this thread for some reactions, and a lot of people seemed unimpressed with a lot of the games from the finals.
Anyhoo, gratz Huk! You deserve all the success you get!

awesome final day. all great match-ups. Thank you Day9 for posting all the vods in like 4 hours. i was able to watch it all when i woke up.
TSL3, MLG, and now DHsummer all awesome tournaments with intense finals. i hope NASL and GSTL/GSL can keep up the momentum.
to find specific vods go to the caster's website. totalbiscuit's casts are on his website/youtube channel, day9's are on his bliptv site, i'm assuming iccup and the others are on their respective youtube channels.
AWESOME tourney!

Just watched the vods....
HUK YOU FUCKING GANGSTA! WAY TO GO!
maybe not the best finals but beautiful to see huk's work paying off. MC joining in to toss huk in the air with liquid was also nice to see.

omg, just watched G2 of Moon v Bomber, sick game. Moon managing to burrow banes mid battle and then take out like 20 marines....so good

...No that's not the reason at all. LoL is a team game so naturally it should have a higher prize pool considering that the money gets split between the team. Irrelevant to mention anyways.
