Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:
Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining
Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it. |

One botched baneling detonation, and one silly comment from Huk on SOTG and everyone assumes he's terrible. Sigh..... He fell off of Code A, therefor he is terrible. That's the logic for a lot of people, even if he beasting in every other tournament. Edit: I'm a happy little marine.

Agreed. Moon is fantastic!

Just wanted to say thanks to the dreamhack organizers, the casters, and everyone involved in the production of the streams. It's been a fun weekend to watch some excellent SC2 action.

There is no possible way that there will be a Korean only finals. Looking at the brackets we will have 1 foreigner in the finals 100%. So all the whine about "all koreans" should stop. July vs any of the 3 koreans on the other side of the bracket?

Personally I thought Idra lost the game immediately once blink finished for MC. Idra failed to do any significant damage with the burrow timing push. He wouldn't have had enough time upon spotting blink to both research pathogen glands AND to build sufficient infestor numbers, (which is really the only good way to deal with large amounts of blink stalkers in the mid game). Zerglings just wouldn't cut it in that last engagement given the position that MC had - the zerglings wouldn't have been able to get any kind of concave.

July is on the first bracket while Moon, MC and Bomber are on the second. It can definitely be a July vs Korean finals, but I think Sen would have a good chance of stopping him.

How many top foreign players are out there maybe around 30? Theres Over 100 Top Korean players on equal skill level. Even moon isn't the greatest Korean player but still is being top europeans like White-Ra. Only the ones really dedicated will win, and right now it seems like Koreans work harder.

I watched that game and honestly thought Idra played better (at least in game 2). I think BLIZZARD needs to look at games like this and figure out how to tweak mass blink stalkers. Of course, infestors would help.... Why do you need to look at mass blink stalkers when there are answers like you mentioned: infestors
because infestors dont kill mass stalker maybe

I have no idea who's going to win any of the next matches.
I think Socke has better pvp, but I am rooting for Huk. I'll like to see Huk v MC or Huk v Bomber in the finals. Easiest match to predict is Sen > July, since July's zvz has been pretty weak. Bomber vs MC could be the championship round. I'll say MC > Bomber (but no clue really) Moon > Naniwa, no idea again, but seems like Moon gets overlooked despite his constant solid showings. No one ever thinks he'll win it all, but some people actually trash him despite him showing he's a very solid player. I don't see Moon beating Naniwa. Moon is a solid player who has pretty decent showings in foreign tournaments, but I think he would struggle against most Code A Korean players or top 3-5 foreigners.
Perhaps in ZvZ or ZvT, Moon has very solid ZvP. It took MC to knock him out of MLG and he just beat White Ra 2-0, so I would not be so sure.

Sorry for the people that arent on site or not on vacation :< Now that doesn't make any sense. Take Formula 1 for instance, they always try to get the timing to fit the most viewers (V i e w e r s), altough it is a circuit race with spectators on the spot. In most sports the finals are always the Sunday anyway, cause of the viewers attendance. SOoo yeah, so much for the finals, hope they will change their scheduling a little for the upcoming "lan" on the interwebz. The LAN is the priority, not the e-sports competitions at the LAN event.
I get what you're saying but i'm pretty sure the head commity of this Lan's goal is making $$. And that comes through the marketing --> ads --> viewers mostly i'd say.
But anyway, Lan events (at least in my country) are 90% of the time from Friday evening to Sunday evening. Why is that? Cause normal people work on Mondays (yes that sux, i wish i had 3 days week-end).

I also have a good feeling that Sen will win.

All these things should add up, but unfortunately +2 blink stalkers deal with roaches pretty darn well. He played the early game well.
But he transitioned poorly. He has to know MC was getting blink (I mean he ad the twilight council and blink is a cheap upgrade...) so he's foolish for not getting hydras or infestors earlier. He knows, as well as everyone else in the world, that you can't beat blink stalkers with roaches... Blink stalkers are ridiculously cost efficient vs. roaches.
Again, stop with the balance whining everyone (not directed to you flanksteak). IdrA lost because he was outplayed. There are things he could have done to win that game. He just didn't.

Cause so many ignorant people have the mindset that IdrA is really good or some shit, and when he fails its imba imba.

Yup... it's embarrassing that he tried getting peoples attention by saying "LISTEN UP!" as if he deserved it because he thought he had a point, told people to look at the brackets when apparently he didn't even do it, and then made a false statement.
Lol, fail.

I think Socke will beat Huk and then lose to Sen, but apart from that I agree with you. You c ould be right about Huk winning though. His PvP is bad, but its like bottom of code A bad, so compared to a lot of top Protoss its still good. I have faith in Socke though and I hope Naniwa and MC play eachother. An MLG rematch would be awesome.
