Sadly after all this time with so many tournament threads it still is not clear to many users on this site. There are several types of posts that are not acceptable in tournament threads. Any form of:

Imbalance whine/Player bashing/Caster bashing/Stream complaining

Will result in two day to a week long bans even for first offenses. Please stick to the games at hand and enjoy yourselves with a beautiful event such as this and the free service that comes with it.

wouldn't it make sense for hasu to purposely lose 0-2 so his teammate has a chance to get #2? isnt he already locked for #1?

Hasu now has 8 wins. Thorzain has 6. Thorzain can at best get up to 8 wins at which point it would depend on their head-to-head match, but hasu won that. If they follow their own rules thorzain is out now.

It's not wins, it's wins - losses

Thorzain!
I feel that this mass gaming type of tournament just doesn't fit with his strengths. Hopefully he can have a better showing in code.

Inaccurate - he came all the way through the Open bracket and far into the Champbracket at MLG. He's proven himself at lans. He's dominated Sjow, and the others in his group, barely lost against July, and had very close games against Hasu (who's got a sick late game PvT). Its a myth that he requires lots of prep to win, but his ability to prepare builds will certainly help him in Code A.

Anyone find it interesting....

Last Code S : HuK knocked into Up and Down by InCa (no.2 PvP in the world after MC, and eventual finalist) and July (close game with a legend).

Up and Down he has 1 chance vs either MMA or MKP, and beats MMA (one of the few people that has beaten MMA in a Bo1/Bo3 in the last 2 months...).

Then he gets Polt (eventual finalist) in the R32 of Super Tournament who has the best vP in the world.

So many haters don't realise how unlucky HuK is. He could easily advance in any of those scenarios if he wasn't matched with the eventual finalists or gosus, and even then he had a good chance to beat Polt and July in those 2 matches.

Gogogo HuK fighting. My tip for Dreamhack :D

A nice post but still somewhat inaccurate. Sure he had InCa and July in his groups, but that's based on the GSL Code S selection process, not random draw. HuK had very little say in how his group would shape up, and obviously would shape up in a way that didn't benefit him (if it benefitted him, the previous players would not have selected that way)

Sure he lost to Polt in ST, but most players in RO32 are pretty good. You could also argue that he was lucky in getting the worst PvP player (San) in R1 and avoiding PvP (his worst matchup) in R2. Or that he didn't run into Nestea/MC/etc. etc.

HuK is good, but he's where he belongs, low Code S material.

Maybe. We'll see, I guess. My point is that people should stop hating and just support their favourite players, rather than hate on players they don't like (I find it inexplicable how you cannot like HuK).

What are you talking about? I like HuK as I like Jinro (I like foreigners competing in Korea). I was cheering loudly when somehow HuK beat MMA to stay in Code S. It just doesn't make sense to me how people can always find ways to make excuses.

If HuK went back to NA he would be the top Protoss and arguably the top player (or Idra) in the continent. But what was written was inaccurate: I personally feel HuK got pretty lucky in the ST.

On the other hand I feel Jinro has been getting shafted day in and day out, and now his confidence is shot, maybe permanently.

I don't understand the point your first paragraph is making. Of course HuK doesn't have any say on how his group would look like, that's why it's called bad luck. Then you say he was lucky in getting a PvP with San (whose PvP is actually not bad, he just fails at all types of allins/cheese but continues to try them), then says it's his worst matchup. How is that lucky?

Also, continuing on that first poster's point, HuK lost to Losira in Code A (guess who won it) and MVP in World Championships (guess who won it).

His entire GSL run has consisted of losing to 3 eventual winners, one finalist, and one former finalist.

It depends on win-loss ratio, not just number of wins, no?

"The seed will be decided by won matches, won games and who won the group
stage match between possibly tied players."
In their rules. It seems win/loss ratio and win/loss differential is meaningless, only number of won games matter.

I think they are counting the differential. Thus in that scenario Thorzain would be +4 and Hasu +3 ?

I'm pretty sure he now prefers kimchi over bacon.

Just like dde and Select are considered foreigners Huk should be considered playing for the koreans ...

They are considered foreigner because they've been living outside of korea for a long time. It's a completely different situation for HuK.

It's weird how tournament show race dominance but it's never the same one.
Super tournament with Terran, MLG with zerg, and now this DH start with a lot more protoss than anything else.

I highly doubt there will be a Korean top 3 this tournament. Awesome players like Naniwa, Sase, White-Ra have yet to square off with one. All of them going or nearly going 5-0 in their groups. Instead of thinking "koreans undefeated" think "Foreign favorites undefeated" as well.
