I didn't even watch 3/4 of the NASL matches due to the lacking level of complexity and skill from half of the season 1 players. I guess I bought my pass for NOTHING! -_-

WTF. Can anyone explain how is that in anyway fair. I didn't even watch 3/4 of the NASL matches due to the lacking level of complexity and skill from half of the season 1 players. I guess I bought my pass for NOTHING! -_- The bottom 16 players from NASL season 1 are eliminated (+1 or +2 more who are retiring). 12 new players are accepted into the league. 8 from the first Open Tournament, 4 from the second. Pretty straightforward. And there are definitely a lot more than 45 "worthy" players in the scene right now, I agree. There will always be some unhappy fans because their favourite player isn't in the league.

It's going to take a couple of seasons for the player pool to 'balance' itself out. The first season was based on invitation to guarantee a wide variety of players from all the servers populated the tournament.Thankfully, the tournament is designed with a system so the weakest players will be weeded out. Patience my friend, patience.

Take a look at the quality of players in the season 2 qualifiers, lot of big names in there. And i only expect talent pool to grow next season. No league is going to be perfect at the start and it seems a lot people are being hyper critical of the NASL. Give it time to work out its kincks and I think it has some great potential.

Patience my friend, patience. I think NASL is going to quickly discover that letting so many Koreans into the league will hurt the foreign scene. When NASL was first created I imagined it would eventually become a western Koreanless GSL. I thought that the key sponsor of NASL wanted to put money into the western ESPORTS scene, and help foreigners become successful in Starcraft 2.

16 players are eliminated, so 2 times 8 players should be invited, right? And why have certain ro32 games not been played yet, I thought it was like one round a day? edit: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/images2/e/e0/NASLGraph.jpg shows that the top 8 qualify from this tournament, who said it was top 4 anyways? edit: On July 01 2011 11:19 Bobster wrote: The bottom 16 players from NASL season 1 are eliminated (+1 or +2 more who are retiring). 12 new players are accepted into the league. 8 from the first Open Tournament, 4 from the second. Maybe you should just read the OP. In the 3t paragraph you can already read that only top 4 will be invited to season 2 and the next 4 are on stand by.

If they "allow" NASL to pick 5 people than you will always have some new talent/fan favorites. I don't mind 1 guy going 0-9, it doesn't remove credibility from your league. And sometimes really really good players just don't make it. And the NASL can pick those players back up.
