We will be moderating harshly in this thread. Think twice before you post. Things we are watching for: image macros, balance whining, "eagles", player bashing etc. We encourage civil and reasoned critique of our moderation - please post it in the website feedback forum.
Please don't complain about MLG stream quality or MLG itself. They work very hard to provide you with an enjoyable service.
Enough with the racism discussions, this is a LR Thread. Cut it out. -- updated 7:55 KST

Completely agree with this. This guy is a legend in the making.
Yep. His TvZ shows quality beyond what anyone else has shown. He truly maximizes the potential of his units in a unique and insanely skillful way ^_^
Don't agree with this at all. Losira fucked up engagements in both games.. in that position he should have won. There are people with much better TvZ's.
I'm glad MMA won though, MC to win the entire thing.

i can't believe this
NO the winner does NOT get code S. If a mod could add that to top it would eliminate a lot of confusion. Also the Koreans I believe are not eligable for the spot but that one im less sure of.
Koreans aren't eligible for the CODE A spots. However, the CODE S spots are fair game for the winner.
no, bro just no
yes bro, just yes
how many times does it need to be said for people to understand. Code S spot isn't being given in this MLG
I'm gonna so be disappointed if Losira seriously tries to roach/ling all in MC. It hasn't worked a single time today but every single zerg has tried and failed. It's really weird too, MC just seems to be able to completely crush it maybe losing a couple units where I've seen a ton of protoss downright fall to it. Maybe one gate expo into 3gate stargate is the new 3gate expo?
Would not be shocked if Losira beats MC. Losira ZvP is amazing and MC must be tired. He's taken down Thorzain, Moon and Idra all in one day. Now that he 4-0'ed Idra, even if he loses now, he still can leave knowing that he destroyed some face and took out the only foreigner who beat him.
No more foreigner kinda kill the exitement for me. Koreans vs Koreans is kinda boring to watch. Games are great, but it's pretty blank. That's why i don't watch a lot of GSL.

This means that I neither love not hate them and thus their games become boring to watch, no emotions at all from my side.
I am unfortunately not a big enough Starcraft fan to watch games just because the player who plays them is good, I'm mostly watching for excitement.
?
You care less for the Koreans because they don't participate in tournaments you watch. So they are boring to watch when they participate in tournaments you watch?
On June 06 2011 07:15 kappadevin wrote: Is the lag caused by battle net or the MLG network?
Its caused because 2 people playing 5 meters away from each other have to connect to an external online network instead of using a LAN protocol (invented in 1976)
This made me lol. Blizz should be ashamed if they are watching this (which they probably are).

yes.. random koreans. they are random. july, mma, MC, and losira are random koreans. truly random.
gtfo
Since I don't watch Korean SC2 in the middle of the night I have never heard of any of them. They don't stream, they don't do twitter, they are never on any of the SC2 shows, western viewers have no attachment to these players.
Then don't watch?
What do you want? Not let them play because they're better than the players you know? Let Idra win the tournament because he is someone you know?
And Koreans do stream. They do do twitter. Not your fault you don't follow them.
Not in english.
Yes, I wish the biggest Western tournament would not invite any more Koreans. If they want to fly over and own the open bracket with their own money then go for it. But giving them free flight, free hotel, free placement, just so they can sweep the money and kill the western scene, that makes me angry.
Maybe they should take the game seriously if they want to consider themselves pros? The biggest tournament in Korea that has a $25000 monthly prize allows seeds into it from MLG, it is FULLY the fault of the foreigners that they simply are not good enough to take that prize.
LOL you really think foreigners dont take this seriously? ok, so it's either mimic korean's exactly or be called an amateur.
It is well known that prominen foreginer players don't practice as much as even they self feel they should. Players who we know have admitted this: - Liquid'Ret - Liquid'Tyler - EGiNcontroL - EGIdra
This is like.. the top of the top of foregin SC2 scene...
I can see why, they are making more money streaming and goofing around in sotg etc than if they where just practising. I understand that they need to get food on their tables and they really do alot for the esports but practise should be their no1 priority imo.
It all has to do with each individual's goals and priorities. iNcontroL's seems to be building his name/brand in the scene, IdrA's is winning tournaments, Jinro and HuK's is to be the best in the world. Their paths and practice habits reflect this pretty clearly.
