He always brings some interesting strats (mass overseers, 1 base infestor turtle)

He is probably the second best ZvZ in the world.

I think Dimaga might disagree with you he never lose a ZvZ and thats including opponents like Nestea

mass infestors is very creative indeed.

Not sure if this was sarcastic, but actually it is. At least this was the first mass infestor ZvZ I saw.

I agree, I rarely ever see anyone go straight into infestors. He threw down the roach warren so late.

Root.Destiny had a 1base infestor build that looked a lot like this, but not nearly as many infestors late game. I've also only seen him do it in on Xelnaga Caverns

destiny's build was a cheese, zenios was a way to crawl back into the game

Destiny's was made to stop cheese and expand safely, even when scouted. I think it's the exact opposite of cheese.

That's what it looked like. Korean Zergs seem to be ahead of the curve a bit.

is it true that idra does not practice as much compared to the Koreans? he keeps saying he doesnt need to practice a lot to keep in shape. that kinds like bs to me. you need to practice and practice like mad.

He's said stuff like "SC2 is easy so I don't really practice" on his stream. Wonder if that attitude is biting him in the ass now. His mechanics - both micro and macro - in those games were hardly noteworthy, other than the early pool defence.

you're right, he doesn't practice a lot while living in a team house meant for practicing. His micro was actually better overall, Zenio took risks and didnt get punished. Pretty much it.

Idra attacked too late, just after Zenio was on 4 hatch, finished his roach warren. So his roach production started to kick in just in time.

So what? Many players make predictions like this, but you guys only bring them back when IdrA's losing.

yeah i know right, who hasn't said they would 2-0 a code s zerg?

he's beaten zenio plenty of times before, albeit not in tournaments, and I think he factored in the latency a little too much

If idra said he's awful in zvz, yet he says he would 2-0 zenio. it's called eating your own words.

idra has a history of being extremely cocky etc, take it in context. seems like you're a bitter idra fan.

god forbid a player is confident

no you're a bitter idra fan. I'm not hating on idra, just pointing it out. I actually like idra since I'm a zerg and I like his style.

I don't think Idra ever was that far ahead in the 2nd game.
After the opening, he was 2 drones ahead, but he made that baneling nest and some banelings... Then it was about 120 vs 90 supplies, but that's simply because Idra had about 25 roaches with some lings/banes, while zenio had 8 infestors and a couple of roaches, which is actually worth about the same but takes 30 supplies instead of 60.

So, at best, Idra had a slight lead, which he obviously lost after the first engagement.

Er, I'm just repeating what he said on his stream...I have no idea how much he actually practices, but he said he doesn't practice. I'm sure that was hyperbole but still.

Considering Idra used to be a code S zerg and was getting to the ro.8 well Zenio was falling down
to the up and downs I don't see what is so wrong with that...
It's pretty simple though, Korean metagame>Foreigner metagame. I honestly don't see Idra doing very well until he gets some really good practice partners.

When has Idra ever predicted he would lose a series? He's confident, because he is super fucking good, looks like its time to close the sc2 forums again, always the same nonsense.
