Looks like not all Protosses can stop it still on smaller maps like Metalopolis. The problem is it's hard to scout many of the early pressures Terran can do because they always wall in. Maybe the ability to warp in cannons in HoTS will calm down rushes, but there are so many changes who knows what the meta game will look like in that expansion. They need to buff static defense which would kill off the majority of timing , cheeses, and all ins then they can finally work on balancing the standard terran vs toss game so far they have been balancing with 1-1-1 in mind.. keep in mind part of the reason of the terran bubble in codeS is that for 2 seasons straight many lower end terrans abused the hell out of 1-1-1 in the up and downs to any toss player. Which brought about buffs / nerfs.... really dumb way to balance since it messes up the standard game and obviously people don't want to, see 1-1-1 and other gimmicky stuff anymore. tl;dr by balancing around 111 they nerfed terran standard game (which was arguably toss favored anyways)... thereby making terran even MORE likely to embrace 1-1-1 and other abusive strats in order to secure wins...
I think they are afraid of the 60 minute turtle terran games typical of eastern European terrans such as Happy. I hope they can buff static defense for the other races without ending up with a bunch of turtles, but I would like to see them try.

Did MVP and Kas finish their series? If so, what was the result?

I woulnt say huge upset by Kas. Kas is a beast I allways knew he was very good he just had problems with his nerves. However that Titan did so well is a huge suprice

WCG 2011 SC2 Main TournamentBut honestly you should be able to find anything you need to know about SC on Liquipedia yourself so work on that. I wonder how many times that link has been posted in this thread, even though IT'S RIGHT ON THE FRONT PAGE. It should really be bolded and in size 50 or something. Maybe if people would update liquipedia with results when they happened instead of leaving MVP vs Kas at 1-0...

If you follow the EU scene it isn't, the guy is ripping everyone apart on the EU ladders.

I lol'd irl.
I think that MVP will win the finals. Not to count Xigua out, he still has a chance, and then again, an upset can always happen

Not to mention that Supernova, like almost every Korean Terran except Jjakji and maybe fOrGG, has a weak TvP.

Kas is the successor to WhiteRa in the Ukrainian Trio, for when PapaRa retires As for Titan, doing well on the ladder is one thing. Doing well in tournaments is another, and this is the very first time I've seen him do well in tournaments.

Well russians have been saying that Titan is a complete boss so I'm not SUPER surprised by those results.
But what the hell are they not streaming MVP vs Kas? T_T

He beat Kas, whom he's about to face for Bronze here at WCG, 2-0 as well.

Xigua is good and all but I doubt his ZvT is good enough to challenge MVP in the finals.

MVP did nearly lose to Haypro, so he's not unbeatable by foreigners.

I think MVP should win but i actually hope the finals aren't one sided even if the games aren't amazing high level stuff.

He's never been in a position like this so who knows but he is undefeated so far in this tourney and showing some strong nerves. I think the bigger question is whether MVP will handle the pressure of being the one to have to defend the title for his country, not that there are many cases of him choking but his fellow Koreans already showed what that pressure can do because the prize pool definitely isn't a big enough matter to get nervous about. In the end it's a Bo3 finals so anything can happen and whatever happens there won't be much to say unlike the GSL finals which are Bo7.
