No respect for MVP from now. He used to say 1/1/1 was wrong, imba, whatever...
If it's just for money/winning, then don't make stupid statements you're going to contradict soon.

When did he say 1/1/1 was wrong and imba? :O?
I never heard of it.

he said on twitter that 1/1/1 should be forbidden vs protoss a few months ago. then he started to do it in a regular fashion

He's representing his country. Imagine how ashamed he would feel walking out at RO8 against a guy who's not even Korean. (that is NOT a jab at foreigners. Merely stating this from South Korean audience' opinions. In Korea, it is highly dishonorable to be the favored one and then to walk out getting destroyed from someone that was the underdog.)

So....... cut him some slack please

i wasn't implying anything, just telling how it happened.

I wasn't saying you were implying anything. Just trying to show TL in case they didn't know, about Korea and the heavy dislike you can receive from one screw up

well 1-1-1 is still a delicate matter imo in the sense that it still doesn't have a true hard counter, unlike every other build. so i can see why people don't like/hate on players etc when they use it. even mvp. a win is a win, but he (and every other terran) has to deal with the response if they use it. people don't generally like unfair stuff in sports. (1-1-1 imo is unfair from certain aspect- it can be dealt with but it doesn't have a go-to counter build like every single other build)

Not all builds need to have a hard counter.....

if all builds had a hard counter it would became a game of BO wins >_>

TvP is fine, let T players adapt again to the new patches and metagame. Its not been even a month...

of course we are counting in other aspects of play too- scouting, micro, etc. literally every single other build has a go-to build that offers a good success rate for the defender, if he scouts the attacker's build. 1-1-1 doesn't. that's my problem with it. MC invented a weird build vs 1-1-1 with one base stargate into gateway play into dt shrine with ridiculously tight timings, that's the closest one to a counter build (and he failed with it numerous times). p knows what comes from the start, and p still fails to defend half the time. tell me what other timing u can lose to if you know it's coming for 5 minutes.

anyways, don't wanna whine, i don't find it inbalanced it's just ridiculously frustrating.

That's impossible. Biased commentators has long plagued WCG. It's exactly how it should be, just like Canadian broadcast of winter Olympics would be biased towards Team Canada. Maybe not to the extent of that female broadcaster, but very understandable, and frankly, I'm simply desensitized.

People are being really retarded. THEY'RE BROADCASTING FOR KOREA ONLY, WHO CARES???

So it's either Polt or a foreigner in the Blizz Cup.

Actually Day9 and Tastosis are GREATLY GREATLY biased toward foreigners whenever they cast foreigner vs Korean games, always picking at moments to say that the foreigner is ahead or adding in "that was a lot closer than it looked" when the Korean destroys. Not to mention the tidbits at the beginning about how oh so good the foreigner is . . .

I've seen Day9 and *especially Tastosis get very excited over foreigners playing against Koreans just because they're foreigners.

Hey, watch your attitude. Korea is the host for WCG this year, the commentators are happy that their country win, thats absolutely normal and Korean commentators only meant for the Korean spectators. They also have 2 English commentators for the rest of the world.
Congrat Lyn! I really though Sky is going to win. Also mad respect for Sky, hes so manner even after the lost and he didn't even try to tower rush every game.

No fucking way

But the kind of national passion they demonstrate is why Koreans do so well in eSports. People elsewhere just don't get it.

Chinese fans are clearly more enthusiastic about WCG than Koreans. If Sky wins it in China, the place will go nuts.

He was talking about the casters. Here on TL, there is a tendency to hold casters to a certain standard of neutrality. I'm just pointing out that this standard isn't respected elsewhere.

Obviously fans are different. Fans will cheer for who they cheer for.

watch English stream if you want. This stream is label "Korean Stream" for a reason. It's okay to show your patriotism, your bias in front of your countrymen and in KOREAN.

I watched some WC3 like 3-4 years ago, and it was basically impossible for UD to win tournaments then. Is it the same still? I think I remember a patch being released since.

The problem always was that Undead never had that big of a player base as the other 3 races had. One could argue if it was because of the struggles the race had against orcs on certain maps, but there's no denying that when a race has less representatives, there's gonna be less top placings.

And the only patch of relevence since 3-4 years ago is blade master's wind walk decrease, which barely changed anything to be honest. I think it was around 07 when the item changes occured as well, which helped orcs severely.

These KR are top level, they are way beyond the competition, and certainly way beyond the people they lost to, maybe excepting Kas. Losing like this is a failure.
