Nani just gave it away in the last game... No 4.*, no upgrades, no blink/charge, no sentry split...

I think it also had to do with being 3-1 up and going 3-3.

Naniwa was already tilted, he didn't even answer Thorzain at the start of the game, even though he had in the first 6. Not really surprising given how close he got to winning.
I think it did affect Naniwa but only because he was already in a bad mindset.

yes that was certainly also a factor but the disconnection was another factor that played into the hands of thorzain

The decisions that lead to Thorzains comeback was made pretty long after Chill left and Naniwa had secured a lead.
No way Naniwa lost because of a couple of pauses. If he would tilt for something that small he wouldnt be in the finals of just about everything recently

Think he even said "gg)", possibly wanting to make a smiley but losing the smiley eyes to the fatigue. Or so.

I think he means right at the start of the game. I think Thorzain said "hf" as usual and Nani didn't respond this time. I don't think it was bm though, think he was just trying to focus on the game or maybe he was trying to psych Thorzain out :p

Good job Thorzain, big gz. Didn't get to watch the games, but will do so later.

On May 16 2011 07:03 jimbob615 wrote: did anyone notice Naniwa did not say "gg" or "gl" or "hf" in the final game 7? is that BM? :S I'd say not, simply because he was probably more annoyed at himself for not winning one of the previous two games, more than being annoyed at Thorzain.

the final had everything i was hoping for. And more. 7 games, extremely high level, amazing turnarounds and Day9 stretching hes vocal chords to the limit. Amazing tournament overall. Great production, solid casters, a badass observer and ofc the very tip top players. ( Having two fellow swedes knocking out every single one of em might just make it the best tournament ever.)
A fine evening indeed.

I believe Naniwa was not tilted by chill at all but by the fact that Thorzain picked up to 3-3. I think Naniwa has the personality of a true great champion, always set to winning no matter what. However, that kind of backlashes in a situation like this and it's something Naniwa needs to learn how to handle. His battleposition in the last game was less than good. Less than okay even... He needs to keep his head calm during these intense and very pressurized situations!
