I actually think that the GSL looses a bit of credibility and prestige with only one Foreigner in Code-S when the Koreans get ripped apart in TSL and stuff. They should really work towards inviting really good Foreigners into the GSL more...

The thread is funny btw, the haters before and after the match are pure gold :D But a lot less haters than I think there would be, which is nice, GO HUK AND MKP ! Sad for MMA but I rooted for the 3 so I would've been sad anyway.

Besides, no Foreiger in Code-S would be pretty much a joke if you look at how well the Foreigners perform in stuff like Stars Wars, TSL, NASL etc. I actually think that the GSL looses a bit of credibility and prestige with only one Foreigner in Code-S when the Koreans get ripped apart in TSL and stuff. Yes Koreans were ripped in TSL but i will bet the European players will get ripped if they go to Korea consider the pool of korean pros competing in Korea. I guess Idra made the BEST decision ever by not competing in foreign online tournaments when he was in Korea.

GSL doesn't restream, they don't need to cater to Foreign viewers who want to see Foreign players. Everyone has to earn their spot in the GSL. There are qualifiers. Example: HayPro and Moonglade, not to say that they're bad, just that they didn't make it through qualifiers. It's not like Gomtv isn't letting foreigners play. The foreigners just don't win a lot. Affirmative Action Esports is not a path anyone wants to walk.

I think they have some players that are very high kalibre but the liquid guys had some really bad times recently and most of the top foreigners rarely play against koreans (without lag or other issues). Dimaga can rip apart any zerg or terran still and kas and Naniwa are pretty high up on my global ranking, too. Edit: and Idra has not been performing as well as he would have liked on the highest level in foreign tournaments for quite some time after he came back.

GSL players are slightly better but not much better than foreign ones.
