I don't think it's an affliction limited to TL, just the internet in general has become a haven for pent-up, aggressive teenagers to voice their angst from behind computer monitors.
Best thing is to not let it get to you and enjoy the portions of the site that still have quality content. LR threads are not an example of that.

Cloud I'm very new here only joined up late last year I believe and I fully agree with you. Every time I read lr threads and it's trashing of players it makes me upset especially considering when I go read bw threads I never see any of it (might be I'm lucky). This new generation of gamers seem to have all flowed in from dota/CSS/halo in terms of manners.

and who are you to question what grubby was doing. there's a 99% chance you understand about 1/100th about this game than him and there's no way to know what he was really thinking until you ask him directly. people just pop out randomly and spread hate over established progamers so much it's sickening. and there's no questioning grubby is a great player, it's not relative at all.

Just a couple of years ago before Starcraft 2 was released i remember one of the admins talk about how desperately TL needed to expand and get more/new viewers and hits with interest in BW slowly dwindling and us basically being a forgotten community.
We have the hits now but the quality has suffered because of it at times. Be careful what you wish for i guess. Everything has its consequences, this is one of them.

Obviously he is a great WC3 player, but his results in SC2 have been extremely lackluster, especially for all of his hype
Yes, he's better then 99.99% of players. But so far, he's not impressive, and thats dissapointing
