The lengthy qualifiers give newer players a chance to prove themselves, and also fill up the time and keep IPL on people's radars, so to speak. What might get them, though, is the month long break in-between the qualifiers and the tournament casts. The main event doesn't technically begin until July 14th, and that might be an issue for viewers.

Just curious, why is Ranged vs Frisky casted but not CatZ vs drewbie?
If I understand the cast schedule correctly 6/8 matchups from RO16, the most important round since it shows who will qualify and not, are gonna be casted. So only 2 matchups were chosen not to be. Why were CatZ vs drewbie one of them?
Hope you dont take this as critisism, I absolutely love IPL, I am just a bit disappointed not being able to watch the inhouse battle between my two favorite players.

Are you insinuating something about ranged and frisky? Also, im not 100% sure but it is possible that there will be another cast with the game that you want since they are doing it like 3 sets per day. Maybe there is a day 4?

lol don´t cry mate, in Europe we´ve seen you with your good results in recent cups, but i´ve never heard of Frisky. Catz and drewbie are just more well-known for most people, plus you´re going to play a mirror protoss ...

No, sorry, I think I worded myself a bit badly perhaps. No offence ment to you or Frisky, I have actually seen your name a lot of times. Never heard of Frisky though, not that it means anything. I am sure he is a great player too. I am just a diehard fan of CatZ and drewbie, hearthbroken by not being able to watch them battle it out in an important match like this.
In the schedule it says day 4 doesnt contain any matches from RO16, but I can always hope it's wrong

Just had to reply that I full heartedly disagree. This type of qualification process is so much better than any kind of invite style or the like, spots are earned and the newer, lesser known skilled players can really make names for themselves, I like it a lot. I want to see Korean and Chinese qualifiers for IPL3 ^^.
I would prefer a TSL style points system though, I haven't watched any of the rounds where people have already qualified, I know seeding matters, but it's hard to get excited over it ;/.

It is probably because of the quality of games. Maybe the Catz vs. Drewbie games sucked because one player rolled the other? Or maybe someone made a ton of mistakes? Or maybe the ranged vs. frisky set had a bunch of epic games? They don't go on name alone when deciding which games to pick...

Worse than Thorzain vs rsvp? The dude masses phoenix, and, against a force that doesn't have much anti-air once the vikings were shot down, doesn't even bother to utilize the graviton beam to lift marines/marauders/hellions.
Not sure why Catz/Drewbie aren't being shown. Maybe IGN is trying not to show ROOT too much preference or something. That said, you can easily know the winner of that match by simply looking up the signup list for qualifier #4.
