We are proud to welcome to you to the SAGAcity Invitational 2011, the kickoff event in a series of productions being brought to you by SAGAcity Gaming. In celebration of the launch of our team into the public scene, we have assembled for you our three top competitors to do battle with the top superstars from around the world in a 32 man, single elimination tournament for a prize pool of $2,000 USD ($1500 1st, $350 2nd, $150 3rd.)
We are still in the process of setting up the individual replays for aesthetics. However, Day Two of the RO32 can be found at the following three links:

It's always great to see players from all parts of the world compete in the same tournament, similar to GSL's World Championship. Hopefully lag won't affect the games played in this tournament too much.
Mhm, all of TL is there except for HuK, and they're nicely spread out in the brackets as well. Dare I hope for a TL winner after the nightmare two months they've all had? =(

can someone remind me why haypro keeps getting invited to these kinds of things? are you just using him as fodder for top? he's proven time and time again he cannot win anything on a big stage.
With GSL, TSL, Blizzcon, NASL, the FXOpens, the Stars War tournament, Ace, Moon and MC travelling abroad, now SAGAcity... KR vs EU vs NA is an almost daily occurrence now.
Compare to BW, which had... Idra, WCG and Blizzcon?
This is exactly what people were hoping for when everyone was talking/dreaming about a global scene only a few months ago. I'm loving it.

People should realize that unlike most tournies nowadays, this one mixes players from NA, EU, AND Kr.
Sort of like the TSL, StarsWar, FXOpen's, CSN events, and NASL right? If you count SeleCT as Korean then that's also IPL.
That's not really unique these days.
Well, I can't speak for the other Tournament Organizers obviously but the aim of the SAGAcity Invitational 2011 certainly wasn't to be a "unique" tournament by any means. I'd say the only real attribute you can consider to be truly unique is the fact that it's a collection of the best of a team that previously had been inclined to stay out of the spotlight against some of the undisputed best players from around the world.
What the goal of the Invitational IS, is to bring you the most entertaining and exciting games we can, and at the end of the day if you remember the names Maestro, Validity and Clefable for their performances we hope you'll look out for future events featuring more of our top players as well. I don't think we need to argue about where our tournament is unique, rather we should feel pretty damn fortunate for the fact that a tournament involving pros from the US/EU/KOR ISN'T unique. That's one huge step forward for this community.

Eh, could've done better with the invite list; alot of fodder for Jinro and the koreans.
Oh well, the hope is someone who is either A) unproven/unknown (such as the SAGA guys) pulls off some upsets to make it fun or B) Someone who is defined as "average" in the scene (read: Haypro) silences his critics by making a run to the quarters/semis.

my point is that by consistently losing early on in tournaments (GSL, TSL, etc) he has proven the exact opposite. people keep saying he is sick good and yet he keeps coming out and proving them wrong.

I'm just grateful that this was able to be organized the way it was. I mean short of big tournaments that have hugggge amounts of funding from big name sponsors backing them, you don't really see that many tournaments with this kind of prize pool and this many top top players. This can't come soon enough =D

To be fair though, there's only so many awesome teams and players that can compete in one tournament.
This is one of many events that we're looking to schedule in the near future, we're constantly looking to expand the brackets and invite a variety players to compete.

SAGA is a Korean - American clan with close ties to both american teams and korean pro teams, the invites are a reflection of this, and as we build more connections futures tournaments or events will reflect this.
However, I believe that we will have some really exciting, enjoyable matches to present at the end of the day and that all the North American players will show good results.
Maybe I wasn't being clear, but I didn't really mean that as anything negative. It's an unusual/interesting mix :} but I'm not saying someone isn't good enough to be in it, I'll watch it for sure..

Haha, I believe he was just clarifying for you our stance and the fact that we did consider that previously and still think the games are going to be pretty awesomely entertaining and those North American players will start showing you how far they've come.

I actually really want to thank you for mentioning this, as it's actually scheduled to be released prior to the tournament commencing!
I actually don't understand why IdrA isn't playing in this tournament... there are some people who were invited who no one knows about, or simply don't have to skill to compete with these huge names (in my opinion).
Strong lineup! I guess the koreans learned from TSL and will more practicing this Tournament. The maps are well choiced! I even don't heard anything about the casters but i think this tournament will be awesome!

Not a big fan of the prize distribution, 2nd and 3rd place get very little for their efforts.
I'm really disappointed with so many "why isn't [insert player name] in this??" comments. Why can't people just be thankful that SAGAcity has organized a tournament with a nice prize purse and many top tier players from multiple countries? It's kind of silly to think that evvvery known pro is going to be in a single tourny no? That's a serious lineup and there's guaranteed to be some epic games and it sounds like there may be more to come in the future. Tone it down guys this is gonna be sick!

I assume you are referring to the SAGA players. While the tournament's goal is to bring together top players from Korea and North America, our goal additionally is to highlight our clan's players as we enter into the competitive scene. Additionally, Inviting teams came down to whose schedule was open and did we have connections with them.
However, it is my firm believe that everyone in the tournament has a good chance of winning it all,and while IdrA would certainly draw attention to the tournament, I think our player line up is well rounded.
Both the casters are really good. Cats pj's for sure. Totally underrated caster imo. Other than that, I enjoy the wide variety of different players in this.

I agree, I hate seeing great tournaments like this and not getting the Liquibets for them like we do for other tournaments.
And I agree that there are some really fantastic players out there who could all beat even the top well known Koreans that everybody knows; I would love to see FireZerg do well and I'm interested to see oGsJ and the Saga clan (I've never seen either play, and I've never even heard of Saga; maybe I'm just a completely uneducated nub haha).
hahaahah not one bit final boss. Tune in so you can see SAGA play who knows maybe youll like a style coming from one of these players you havent heard of :D thats the point of the tourny to get the underdogs to compete with top class and see how well everyone does.

I hope the non-koreans perform otherwise this might be the "donate money to Koreans" tournament. This is an invite tournament without Dignitas, EG or (imo) any of the top performing Europeans.
Still it's great to see so much happening in the scene lately.

As SAGAcity is a North American team with a large population of Korean members, for our first Invitational it was decided to stay within the confines of teams we know. However, we are planning on featuring additional European teams and players in our upcoming events!

Update: Due to slight scheduling conflicts we are going to be broadcasting Divisions 3+4 on May 6th and Divisions 1+2 on May 7th. Thank you very much for your understanding and continued support!

I would much prefer if you could get an overlay that showed the player names instead of the borrowed account names. It's a lot easier for me to parse that MVP = blue terran instead of blue terran = SAGAGamingB = MVP.
Short, you're 100% correct. We have tried editing one in, but it apparently didn't capture. Then we tried to put one up manually live, but that isn't working as well (I think I need a notrans version). I apologize and hopefully we can get this settled by tomorrow!

Looking at the MUs I thought Tyler might be in big trouble with his draw but winning 2-0 is really impressive. Awesome.
Don't worry man you only missed a few games. Today 8 matches of the round of 32 are being broadcasted, the other 8 will be broadcasted tomorrow, and the following round's broadcast dates will be posted soon. Stay tuned =D
Considering the level of players in this tourny I feel it should have a lot more viewers. Smart to finish up by the time NASL is starting but I think there is just bad luck falling in line with the Spani/Major showmatch which has over 4k viewers.
Once more people realize this is going on, and how good the players involved are, it should get a lot more viewers. I for one will be watching.
The non-standard names being used (to hide the results from the main account I assume) might throw some people off tho.
The non-standard names are just guest-accounts for Korean players who don't have an account on the NA-server in combination with the ingame-name-banner being used instead of an overlay.
Yea, a lot of the koreans don't actually have NA accounts so they had to borrow one. A custom overlay will be implemented in future broadcasts to clear up some of the confusion, sorry about that guys.
And I do agree that players of this caliber and matches of this epicness deserve sooo many more viewers than it currently has. Hopefully more will tune in as the tournament continues and those who are tuned in will spread the word
Ret looked horrible in those last two games. In the first game his overlord placements were in bad positions that made him miss the incoming banelings. In game 2, he went with one of the greediest builds and he was punished for it.
DdoRo wins 2-1 over Nestea! That wraps up the Round of 32, thanks to all the viewers who tuned in tonight. We will definitely make sure the Round of 16 does get up on the event tracker next time. Make sure to come back often to see schedules and brackets!

First off, I wanted to thank everyone for their comments/questions regarding the Invitational, we're working on improving every day based off of your suggestions! However, I think some people do need to keep in mind that this event was never purported to be of NASL/GSL's grandiose production standards. There will be some hiccups to be sure, but we are doing our best to work with you, the players and the other teams to minimize those glitches to bring you the best tournament we possibly can.
Second, the OP has been updated with the Scheduled Broadcast time and dates for the RO16, as well as more clearly labeling the VOD's for the RO32. The new bracket will be published shortly. Thank you for your support and I hope you all continue to tune in and tell your friends about the Invitational!

Unfortunately, DdoRo's internet has been incredibly unstable and was NOT able to play his games with TOP. We tried rescheduling, switching computers, and even relocating DdoRo, but it was a no go. Therefore, oGsTOP was award a walkover win.

damn thats sad, but we at least get to jf vs jinro
Excellent read on the DT's by J; gets a spore up for detection at the nat and blocks the ramp with queens causing the first 2 DT's to only get 3 kills between them. Very nice timing on all of that, and defended with a minimal investment.
Awesome attack from J to finish it too, drops all his roach/hydra in the main while flanking in with a bunch of lings to both the side of Mini's army and the exposed third.
lol @ the replay desync, oh blizzard please can we have shared viewing TT
J is impressing me so far, gets a good deal of damage done with a midgame roach push and really whittles down the sentry count. Following up with some drop play and teching to speedbanes.
Mini's wishywashy attack at J's third earlier cost him quite a lot imo, spent a huge number of forcefields for what amounted to about 6 roach kills or so since with all the sentries and a handful of stalkers his dps was really rather low. Then he subsequently didn't have a lot of FF's for that roach push J did.
Ah baneling bombs from J now, has a 60 supply lead but Mini does have the gold up.
J with a fourth up, working on his fifth. Slams a bunch of troops into the gold and with some huge baneling rain + roach/corrupter he cleans up almost all mini's army, after rallying in reinforcements he finishes mopping up mini and with no defence left for his main source of income Mini gg outs.
Minigun starting thermal lance and a colossi right after the robo bay finished, leaving a big timing for ogsJ. That's why I don't start thermal lance that quickly.
I somehow have pretty big lag issues. Is there a restream or does it work better for europeans on one of the lower quality versions? Or is it me maybe althogh I can usually watch streams relatively stable ?
Junwi ready for Antimage's 3gate expo and takes a very fast third, in typical Junwi fashion he makes a decent round of units anyway before settling in to drone regardless. Lots of roaches on the way + burrow & speed now, oh drops and Overlord speed too.
Antimage very standard really, 3gate expo into Colossus and now looking to take his third. Picks off a couple of roaches as Junwi tries to push, Junwi doesn't show off his burrow (unless he cancelled and I missed it).
Junwi taking his fourth at the gold, pretty interesting decision. Getting quite a lot of good scouting info just with straight up overlords. 2 pronged aggression from Junwi, cleans up just about everything in both the main and Antimage's third and Antimage just has to GG out without ever really moving outside of his nat.
Pretty comfy win for Junwi that first game, saw everything Antimage did, was never threatened, picked him apart with multipronged attacks.
Forge expand from Antimage, Junwi with a gassless expansion and a fast third.
Antimage tries to put on a bit of pressure with 2 zealots, Junwi has the exact number of lings he needs to clean them up without too much hassle.
Antimage going stargate, Junwi does scout it but probably a little late. Voidray reaching Junwi's third and about to go to town but Junwi's Queen off creep distracts it, Junwi able to get another queen there in time and force the voidray to back off without losing either of them. It also got him enough time to get spore's up everywhere so he's pretty air proof for now.
Huge amount of drones for Junwi and a fourth on the way. Antimage transitioning into Robo. Hrm, the only thing Junwi has built other than lings is Corrupters. Antimage has a decent gateway army that he's pushing out across the map with.
Ahhh speedbanes and corrupters from Junwi, I missed the baneling speed go down o_O They don't actually kill too much the first time around and Antimage is able to push all the way into Junwi's nat (though Junwi has a massive economy). It looks like he might be able to do quite a bit of damage but Junwi squeezes banelings through the forcefields and this time blows up a good portion of antimages army.
Anti finally trying to set up a third, Junwi with a 50 supply advantage, fifth base on the way, huge ling drop coming into the main, and an infestation pit up.
The main is getting gutted for Anti again, and once more he's fighting inside and around his own base. He does clean it up but is now 60 supply down and has a whole 23 probes left.
Anti going for a last ditch push, Junwi has a hive on the way and just made a round of 40 banelings.
Anti just about reaches the fifth and forcefields off Junwi's baneling tide...only to be disintegrated by an even bigger quanity of banelings pouring out of Junwi's overlords.
Jinro 1rax CC, reactor on his rax, bunkering up the front, and following up with a factory
JF with a 2gate expo and a 3stalker/zealot poke but Jinro is ready.
Ohhhhh Jinro is going mech? Yes he is, blue flame hellions and tanks on the way!
Soft contain from JF camping his units out the front, but I don't think Jinro is too bothered right now. Ah there we go, Jinro does move down to claim it and he is actually going for a little push. No siege mode for him and his push gets cleaned up pretty easily (nice pylon placement by JF preventing hellion run bys behind his mineral line).
JF with a 15 supply advantage, JF just making a lot of stalker/immortal right now while Jinro is pumping hellion/tank.
Oh neat, Warp Prism on the way from JF, could be seeing some immortal drops while he techs to colossus! Oh nice, that was so smart, just drops his immortals in and picks off factory tech labs to stall Jinro's tank production.
Thors on the way for Jinro, coming 2 at a time. JF with Colossus and ETL on the way. Second robo too.
JF putting on a bit of aggression now, but pulling back. Jinro getting vikings out to handle Colossus, JF making 1 immo 1 collo at a time and researching charge.
Ack, JF pushing Jinro's third just as he tried to take it but I get an inconveniently timed phonecall and miss the action. It looks like JF denied it while looking to take his fourth though, and as Jinro attempts one more big push with his remaining army JF shuts it down hard with a lot of Colossus and some gateway support
1 rax (no gas) expo from Jinro, drops the CC actually at the nat. JF looks like he's doing the same 2gate expo build.
Jinro following up with mass rax, JF does drop the expansion (and Frodan tells us JF is going to be at Colombus).
Jinro well prepared for the light pressure, JF backs off with neither player trading a unit.
Mass marines for Jinro, a whole lot of gas on the way so we should see some marauders shortly.
JF going up to robo and dropping a couple more gateways. Ah, teching straight to Colossus after his obs and dropping a third Nexus.
Push on the way for Jinro with both stim and shields, might wait on shells to push but JF has been pretty greedy so this is going to hit hard either way.
JF has to pull probes to deal with it, but does hold it off in the end and he has a third actually up now. Jinro taking his third behind the push, they're pretty much equal on supply.
Jinro's medivacs are on the way now so his bio is about to get a whole lot scarier.
Jinro with a marginal upgrade advantage at 1-1 vs 1-0. 2 reactor ports down for Jinro getting double vikings and double medivacs.
JF pushing out across the map but Jinro with a perfectly timed double drop forces it to have to come all the way back to defend.
Big engagement in the middle of the map, Jinro gets a sick concave and his vikings go to town on the Colossus. Jinro wins it decisively, is double expanding behind it and pushes right into JF's nat.
JF can't get enough units out to defend and with a stimmed up bio ball knocking on the door he has to GG out and the series is tied at 1-1.
Game 3 on Xel'Naga, JF in the North and Jinro in the South.
JF with the same gate timings as previous games, seems likely it'll be the same 2gate expo again.
Jinro probably going for banshees given double gas and reactor on rax. Yup, there's the starport and tech lab going down on the factory.
JF isn't doing the same build afterall, twilight council and Robo on the way. Ahh it's going to be 2gate blink, probably with an obs for vision =)
Jinro looks like he's marine/tank/banshee all inning.
JF posturing outside Jinro's main looking for some harassment opportunities, Jinro with a banshee back at JF's main.
Jinro almost has siege mode done. JF with some cute micro using his observer for vision to pick off units at the edge of Jinro's base. Jinro sieged up in his main and actually starting a CC, JF has expanded behind his harassment. Kind of surprised Jinro got stuck on the defensive so hard, he committed massively to one base tech but got to do nothing with it. I guess he didn't feel comfortable attempting to trade vs blink stalkers and felt that with JF having teched quite a lot on one base too that he could afford to just expo himself.
Raven out for Jinro which is nice, JF again going double robo and now dropping a robo bay.
JF blinks up into Jinro's main and snipes out a handful of units, some addons, and a couple of tanks before getting away.
Jinro pushing across the map and does get sieged before JF can engage, JF's double robo immortal is doing sick damage to the tanks and stalkers attempt to blink in on top of them too. PDD for Jinro really really vital there and he just about cleans up JF.
Jinro now attempting to push into the nat, JF is forced to pull probes but he's holding just. Uses his stalkers to snipe out the remaining banshees and gets another immortal out to clear out the last 2 tanks.
They are neck and neck at 100 supply each, Jinro is positioning himself by the Xel'Naga tower while JF is in a bit more of a defensive location. JF runs some zealots down the side of the map into Jinro's scv line at his nat, which actually forces Jinro to fall all the way back.
JF has quite a few Colossus out which are really going to chew up Jinro's marines. Third on the way for both, Jinro seems to be transitioning back into a more standard bio composition.
Jinro setting up his tanks at the gold to try and defend that position, JF sliding down the side and actually threatening towards the main. Jinro's bio looks painfully slow since stim still isn't finished at 20 minutes, though he does hold things off pretty easily.
JF decides to blink his stalkers and cliff walk Colossus into Jinro's main, he's doing some decent damage in there but Jinro gets a quick response with bio and tanks and with vikings popping out is able to deal with the Colossus and gateway units. Jinro takes a decent supply lead, and for the first time one player has a definite advantage.
Jinro now looking to punish JF's third with a tank siege on the ledge above it, JF cleans it up with some good blink snipes and Colossus reinforcements. Jinro definitely lost out there and the supplies swing back towards even. Jinro is sitting on the gold though while JF is on the standard third, and the harass is buying Jinro plenty of time to pump out 2port reactor vikings to deal with the 2robo colossus.
Jinro's looking to take a fourth but JF denies it with a group of stalkers, and JF himself is looking to take the high yield expo. Jinro builds a CC back at his nat to float out later rather than trying to sneak one in at the side expands.
JF going DT's, Jinro's +2+2 bio is about to finish up while JF is on 0-0
Jinro's income has snowballed into a 40 supply advantage right now, Jinro should just have to engage in a semi decent position to come out on top.
A couple of EMPs get off on JF's units, Vikings obliterate the Colossus, and Jinro's vastly better upgraded bio cleans up JF's gateway units.
JF has nothing left and GG's out, Jinro takes the series 2-1.

I'd have to agree. A lot of casters sound like it's more of a chore than an enjoyable and exciting experience the way the casters of this tournament sound. It's refreshing and actually makes me want to listen to them instead of playing music over it and just watch like I do with a lot of streams.

when you are on so many bases going bio and vikings + the new patch change with ghost cost more minerals its hard to spend all your gas if you took all the gases on all the expansions you got.
I don't know whether to think Tyler won the match or not after him telling sotg viewers to check out his matches, I'm always wary of players telling people that since it seems to me that with replay casts it's a pretty strong indicator of the results

It's nothing you should look into too deeply. He wants people to watch no matter what tournament he plays in. He also said, "you should definitely check me out vs Thorzain this weekend. They should be some pretty good games," regarding the TSL.
MVP is such a beast, awesome multi pronged aggression. Thought he might lose it despite a huge concave and almost blanket emp's when Validity still managed to steamroll into the nat and force a huge amount of SCV's to be pulled.
DId hang on though, and with a good snipe on the third + finally getting his gold set up he was able to close it out =)
Omg, Mvp manages that my heart bursts over and over again. It seems like he consciously puts himself into a disadvantage to show his amazing crisis management. o.O Very well done.

Yup, did make the last round of the latest GSL qualies too. Seems like he's picked his game up a bit after looking rather disappointing when he dropped out of the GSL in March

Nice second game between TT1 and Drewbie, thought TT1 had it but Drewbie had some really nice drops and sniped out both +3 weapons and +3 armour upgrades as well as TT1's fourth.

Some interesting games being played so far, really sad that both SAGA members got knocked out 2-0 but it was to two really great players. I just wanted to say that FrodaN is a excellent caster that I seemed to have overlooked, his caster is both insightful and entertaining. Great casting FrodaN and thanks to SAGAcity for the cool event.
Awesome tournament. Why this tournament doesn't have more viewers is beyond me. Some good games so far. Hoping for Tyler to make it into the quarters! Losira is such a solid player, period.
dsfhdsfgdghcfdtrhdfdgrtharthdrthdfdrfhdgr OMG such sexy FF from tyler well player Liquid Tyler 2 - 1 oGs ensnare. OMGOMG such sick ff usin mineral line and cc to trap literally EVERYTHING in. D:
I wonder if it was specifically designed to kill the fast ghost play of Ensnare , looked really powerfull and the timing was perfect , right before Ensnare could get any EMP. GG Tyler!
whoever is calling tyler or liquid underrated can go screw themselves. Tyler has shown the public that he is still capable with sick sick mc like timings.
Awesome timing. Tyler seemed a bit sloppy with his unit control in the games, but his builds are still immaculate.
Interesting matches for Liquid in the Ro8:
Jinro vs oGsTOP Tyler vs IMLosira
Should be very good :D
EDIT: Also would just like to say that I love Tyler's in game aggression. So tired of seeing protoss wait for a maxed out army. Just like MC, Tyler seems to be really good at seeing which fights he can win and moving out early to catch m&m armies with forcefields.
Pretty sure Jinro can still out-TvT TOP even if he isn't in the best shape, don't think I've ever seen a really bad TvT from him. And Tyler will have a chance to really get back in the spotlight if he beats Losira. =)

Sometimes his unit control is a bit off, but he is also really food at setting his army up before a battle. He usually spreads his sentries out and just keeps things apart knowing an EMP can do so much damage.
Game 2 those EMPs were when Tyler was moving around and Ensnare was pretty slick with using the factory for vision and the ghosts came from below and got them off. Some of the best EMP's I've seen actually.

There's nothing wrong with Tyler's micro usually (although I did feel he could have moved a few of those colossus being targeted back), but his general movement with his armies were quite sloppy. He lost so many colossus because they were trailing behind or off on their own somewhere.
I was really happy to see him set up his armies before moving in. Way too many protosses don't do that.
It is with deep regret that I announce the match today between IMLosira and Liquid`Tyler will not be broadcasted due to scheduling complications. Losira was awarded a walkover win. Is it selfish if I just say "Fuck yeah Losira" =D even if it was a walkover? xD
Junwi not targetting banelings down with his roaches was such a bad mistake, kept his lings nice and out of trouble for the most part but let one bane get off a really good hit.

These games are cast from replays to ensure the integrity of the tournament. Please consider the time zone differences and difficulty to arrange both players to play in the midst of the busyness of the rigorous SC2 schedule. Again, we apologize as we too looked forward to seeing Tyler's play after 2 dominating performances in the Ro32 and Ro16.
That was a pretty sick game, those EMP's on the first big engagement at TT1's third were money.
I liked TT1's idea of setting up so for a 4robo transition out of heavy gateway units in the lategame, seemed like MVP caught him at pretty much the worst time for it though.
Unreal, how the hell did MVP win that after accidentally splitting half his army off during the one big battle lol. Insane decision making on the defence and counter attack.

Absolute outrage. How are you gonna not go to some extra lengths to accommodate Tyler? I'd understand it if it was in the first few round but woww.... this deep into the tournament youre gonna allow a walkover?? Thats sloppy. And seriously degrades the level of integrity for future tournaments.

We understand your sentiments and we won't hide the fact that there was a miscommunication on the sides of all 3 parties during the incident. After the altercation, we tried every which way to accommodate both Tyler/TL and Losira/IM with ongoing meetings (some of our team even stayed up til 5-6AM to discuss with Korean liaison), but an agreement could not be reached. We regret this as much as you, the spectators, do; if not, even more as I am personally a big fan of Tyler's.

They will be casted from replays by Cats and Frodan. We hope to uphold the integrity of the tournament by doing it this way.
Due to real life complications (Frodan is moving out from school), we are going to reschedule the Finals and 3rd/4th match. We apologize and still seek your support as we announce the date soon

Hi, have the final games (final and 3rd place match) been casted already? I know you posted this 4 days ago but can't find any info on whether you have set up a date or casted them already.
Haha, rave, you caught me. Technically I do have the games played out with everything set. Unfortunately, we have not been able to establish a time and date where all things would be okay for the finals to be played. Replays should be uploaded as soon as the finals are broadcasted. Sorry...I really don't intend on trying to keep anything away from the community
ok so its pretty obvious they have no intention of giving us these vods and replays anytime soon. i talked to frodan and he said the guy in charge of this is AdamaSAGA so if you care about this tournament and you want these replays and vods go ahead and msg him... as many times as it takes....
Is there any specific reason as to why we still haven't seen anything after almost a month of waiting? I really don't understand...can anyone be THAT busy? I mean, it's not like you guys haven't already casted almost all of the tournament...just two more series to go, and they are the two most important ones as well.
The situation is pretty saddening. This tournament was hyped when it first started by various high ranking community members and to see it fall apart so close to the end is really bad. Is there no organization in charge ? Sponsors?
Shit I got asked to obs that final, I wish I had now so I could give you guys the replays.
>.<
I can't believe this tournament stalled at the finals. It's like the easiest part...... Plus it was a really good tourney...
Edit: Just fyi, AdamaSAGA is chilling in channel "SAGA" on B.net NA right now
Edit: Talked to some SAGA players. I guess the manager has had "family issues" and thus the no updates. But the kind of family issues where he's too busy to update the thread but not too busy to idle on b.net and take care of his team still.
To clarify, top 3 players have already been paid. Since it seems there are complications, I'll upload the replays and let Adama focus on other things.
Finals were recorded with Cats a while back as well (early June). Literally, the only thing that has to happen is the broadcast itself. I wish there was something that could be done about this situation, but I can't just go and do it without the green light.
Also, on top of family issues there were a few changes in administration. Mainly, the leader of the clan stepped down and gave Adama the entire control of the clan during the middle of the tournament. The transition hasn't been exactly the smoothest since we have been trying to manage everything to the best of our ability. I'm deeply sorry about this and I understand everyone's frustration. I too have been frustrated with the situation as well.
As for the VODs, my internet upload speed at my summer house is total farce and that will take time. We will earnestly do our best to put out the finals broadcast ASAP.

Any specific timeline on when these games will be shown (as in, in a few days, or a week)? MVP hardly ever plays in non-GSL events, so fans like myself are pretty anxious to see his games, even if they're a month old.
Hey Qaatar, et al. Thanks for your concern about the tournament. Since the finals have occurred over a month ago, we have decided simply to release the VODs, replays, and results without a rebroadcast. We will be taking care of that within the next week.
Again, keep in mind the players have been paid and everything logistically has been taken care of. I hope this kind of situation ever comes up ever again for SAGA.
