It would've been closer, but stalkers with blink that aren't in the position to be flanked will always be cost efficient against roaches. Just the math of the game. | ||

Sure, it helps to kill stakers before they blink, but it all depends on a protoss's skill level with blink as well. If you give a AI bot blink stalkers, they could probably kill 50 roaches with 20 stalkers without losing any. Obviously this was more like 25 stalkers vs 30 roaches, but Ace deserved that battle with 2-0 and since stalkers cost 2x as much gas. It was just interesting at how FEW stalkers he lost, he didn't lose more than 5-10 | ||

Nestea lost to the same style against a random Chinese player, so yeah, I'd say Zergs have not figured out how to play vs. blink stalkers. Maybe Idra has an idea, but if so he's not showing it as foreigner Protoss players are still mostly relying on colossi. In any case mass zerglings is probably the most efficient strategy to go on most maps, but Xel'Naga makes it hard due to the ledges, and Sen made roaches because Ace also had tons of sentries and some zealots. In the end Ace sacced all his zealots and sentries and it didn't matter because blink stalkers > roaches and Sen was out of money. IMO a fast tech to hydras is probably necessary. In the timeless words of Liquid'Nazgul - Sen got blunked. | ||
