Hey I'm not trying to be rude or anything. I'm on TL forums general and tournament everyday. Just saying I didn't catch this. If I did see it I can guarantee you with the roster of great players I def would have been watching this 100 PERCENT!!! Not that that's a criticism of you; as far as I'm aware, none of the matches/threads were ever even spotlighted by TL. The tournament forum moves so incredibly fast, I don't bother looking in there unless I'm looking for something specific... Edit: Definitely going to check out the games from this tournament now that I know it exists. Late support is better than none right?  | ||

You also can't just advertise 'tourney' in china, you need to hype the players and match ups. Write up articles about the upcoming china prodigies, or whatever, there were a lot of stuff you can do. Your thread title was gigabyte and star wars. Nobody cares, you would get way more hits if you put MC and Idra and MKP. | ||

For future reference: - It didn't have individual SC2 Tourney threads for each day of the competition; that usually drums up a lot of interest (e.g. I didn't even know what Homestory Cup was until I saw a thread about it on SC2 Tourneys and was delighted to watch). - The OP (even to this day, where semifinalists are "coming soon") was not updated frequently. - No "Featured News" write-ups on TL re-capping or previewing each RoX - Games were played too far apart; the tournament slipped out of my focus. TSL is an exception in online tournies because the guys that run that tournament, you know, run this site. Otherwise, having each round played so far apart is asking for interest to dwindle. - I caught some of the Ro32 and the audio quality and casting were way below par for the quality of competition; every TL Open has had more high-profile casting than StarsWar did. IdrA tweeting once is fine, but even without Day9, having Husky/HD/JP/Biscuit/etc. rallying their bases to watch would have done much more. I personally assumed this was some small regional tournament after seeing a Ro32 cast. Just an FYI for future promotion. | ||
