[NASL] Day 1-5 - Page 75
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Yesterday's broadcast has had its issues. We all saw it. There are 10+ pages of whining. There is an entirely new cast going on now. Please keep whining about issues experienced yesterday to yourself going forward in the thread and allow other people to enjoy the games.

That's more connected though, that's content by the actual gamers in the league and part of the pre-show for finals. This was just random stupid shit that had nothing to do with NASL at all and was so terrible and even for people who enjoyed it only enjoyed it because of how terrible it is :p If it's really necessary with a long break in the middle they should just do something like intro for the first two players before they start the day, after the first two series the "mid-show" could just be interviews with the first two winners and intros for the remaining 3 matchups. (Or come up with an actual good idea for a show like that.)

If you hate it, go take a bathroom break or grab some nachos or mute it and browse something else. If you don't, then just enjoy it. Either way, it's better than sitting in silence at a blank intermission screen. Not really. In fact, it's arguably worse, depending how important you feel professionalism is to making SC2 e-sports succeed*. I'm impressed with the improvements NASL has made in some areas (sound volumes getting fixed, casters showing solid growth), but that clip definitely felt like a step back. *I'm not sure how much of a debate/discussion about the professionalism really figures into a LR thread, but personally tonight I'm thankful I haven't bothered to really hype the NASL to any friends who don't follow e-sports (was waiting for the technical issues to get sorted) - first impressions are pretty important, especially when there's a possible pre-existing negative view of e-sports to begin with.

It's the first week, I can't say I didn't expect mistakes to begin with. I'm fully confident that they'll improve a ton in the following weeks. Agreed...but they better improve. It's quite a short leash.
