Sounds like you tried to organise something way out of your league, but at least you've made a quick buck out of it.
No need for this kind of negativity.
Btw: Organize.

Yesterday's broadcast has had its issues. We all saw it. There are 10+ pages of whining. There is an entirely new cast going on now. Please keep whining about issues experienced yesterday to yourself going forward in the thread and allow other people to enjoy the games.

Guys, stop mentioning the previous bits of this series have already been shown. Some people haven't yet been spoiled.

Ya, it really disgusts me how sensitive so many people are on TL. This has to be the most uptight group of people I have ever interacted with. There's a difference between being sensitive and not liking that kind of american teenager humor. I respect the guys doing that show, but shitty immature humor and overused memes are not my cup of tea. edit also kudos to incontrol for replying so fast to concerns from people on this thread. "American" teenager humor way to bring your point home by acting ignorant your self. User was temp banned for this post.

I know the NASL is upset about it and will fix it. There is no way to go back in time.. but please know we are sorry. 3. Maps were updated. There is no legitimate argument for using the outdated maps. That too was a mistake overlooked by not consulting the pro players of the squad (me and gretorp). It has been rectified. Some inside info: The NASL isn't a bustling studio of 30 people. It's 5 production people and 2 commentators. We are hiring out professional help for the sound (after the problems) we consult pro's on the stage etc... but we are not some huge broadcasting company. When people say "mistakes like this shouldn't happen.. you need to watch for mistakes!" They do. They do the best they can. A lot of these guys are running off of 4 or less hours a night. Encoding, editing, doing graphics etc.. all each day after this schedule. Do they want your sympathy? No. No they do not. Do they expect better results than what we have produced? MORE THAN YOU KNOW. Nobody is more pissed than Russ and co after each mistake. This is the first week. None of them came from a broadcasting / league background. All of them are chasing a dream and trying to do it to the best of their abilities. When we make mistakes please tell us with all of this in mind. If you STILL feel the need to say "FIRE X" or "THIS IS FUCKING TERRIBLE" then I guess go ahead and do that. I get to wake up in the same house as these people and watch them go at it for another 16 hours each day. It is absolutely unacceptable to make these mistakes and they will not be made continuously. As they happen they get fixed asap. In the end it makes us better. We were never planning on 1 season so we have time to fix these things. Ideally, would they never have happened? OF COURSE. Is it possible to have caught these faster? CERTAINLY. But we didn't and we are sorry. Please understand the sheer effort and work that is going into this. This league is growing and it has growing pains. It also has amateur mistakes and huge errors. All of which will be sorted out as they come up. I'm sure most everyone appreciates the honesty, accountability and full disclosure, but for paying customers, I don't think reading about how the production team has little experience in broadcasting tournaments is a good thing. I think most people are learning some hard lessons from MLG and NASL. Don't pay for a product until you know what the product is. Please stop. I really get annoyed with all this extremist language. It's not even the end of the first week yet and people are STILL getting top quality games. yes there are issues but they are being fixed as fast as they can (usually the next day). I really get annoyed when people assume 25$ is wasted because the first week wasn't perfect. iNcontroL, you strike me as a smart guy and I am sure you understand that guy says the truth. We all know mistakes happen, issues arise and such but after all that hype, promises and 25$ fee for HD production/HD VODs to openly admit that people who work behind NASL have absolutely no experience is kinda... really slap in the face to current and possible future customers. People didn't pay to witness production "crash course" for those 5 guys. Saying that... I still believe NASL will be better and better with each day and week but to not have a single professional in team is really unacceptable. uh dude. I was saying they are GOM employees or DH admins who have been doing it for 10 years. I'm sorry if that bursts some kind of bubble you had. I wasn't saying they have ZERO experience with this stuff. BELIEVE ME with how hard it is to run a damn league to this scale you can safely assume they have some experience with this stuff. OBVIOUSLY.. Russ has been producing/streaming the GCPL as well as other events for a long time. We have a professional editor and graphics designer. One of the co-owners family owns a movie production company. I am trying to give you background on the people that bring you guys this and so far I have people reading it as "WHAT? THEY HAVE NO EXPERIENCE? THERE IS ONLY 5 OF THEM?" Please just read my post for what it is. And stop LOOKING for ways to turn this more negative. We obviously don't need it. Yeah, this, just because someone has not been doing it as a source of primary income or whatever the exact circumstances are does not mean they have no experience or expertise in the field. We need to cut them some slack. The games so far have been amazing! The rest of the production can be refined and polished.

Is The Witcher 2 any good? It's not out yet, but it's known to have some NSFW content, which is what I'm referencing. Because of course, being offended by rape jokes is basically the same thing as being offended by seeing a tit in an M rated game. Cool story, brah. Also, perfect scan from PainUser. It is obvious you guys care deeply about the work you're doing here. I don't share the same vitriol as some of the posters about these mistakes, but I have no doubt it is appreciated to have someone step forward from behind the curtain as the kinks are being worked out. From the start, the aims were very ambitious for the NASL and it is easy to underestimate the work this requires. Best of luck!

The people who are QQ'ing are those that are watching the free stream. For me, the VoDs alone are worth the $25... NASL gives me something to watch every day, since i don't have cable. And some of the games have been SUPER EPIC (like dde vs nada, or game 1 of axlav vs squirtle...) Very true, I hope more people like us start coming forward in these threads and vocalizing that they aren't the worst league in the league, in fact I would say they are pretty damn awesome considering how small scale they are.
