Yeah I'm surprised the Dimaga game wasn't awarded to MVP. He had BCs close to Dimaga's main and Dimaga had no anti-air. Not to mention Dimaga was never going to break through that Planetary/Tank wall. The rematch was a failed rush by MVP into a Baneling Bust and wasn't really representational of either player's true ability.
As for the MMA game, it's true that Mvp was outplayed on that map, but MMA was fresh and Mvp wasn't. I'd be interested to see a series between those two. I see MMA as a potential future Champion.
The other losses were all during his slump, and I don't think there's any shame in losing to July or Alicia. Genius would not beat Mvp in his current form. He handled July and San comfortably on route to this finals, and MKP's two victories were hardly impressive. A game Mvp threw because he was so ridiculously far ahead that he got overconfident and switched to BCs too quickly, and a proxy rax all-in disguised as a fast expand.
