maybe top 8 should be better and the rest must pass open bracket with a special spot that can assure their top position.

I think whats interesting about naniwa is that he plays like a cold blooded killer. Every move he executes is like murder. he murders players instead of strategising. This is what i gather from his PvP plays anyway. If he does a push there is no going back, he has to kill his man or he doesnt get paid. thats what makes him so spot on. because he has more than just a game of starcraft on the line, its his meal ticket, his way out of the dark and cold and hungry. Its what forces him to kill, and be precise. Every game he plays is like his meal ticket, at least from what i gathered from his history. being kicked out of home and school has taught him to be cold. its very professional the way he executes his plays and that killer edge just pushes everyone over. very enteraining tournament. and p.s Select is ryu from street fighter.

and whats this crappy "extended series" thing? such a joke imo, the player played in the group already had his advantage by getting this win in the pool play -.-

Some of those guys are sick. ps. Is anyone else buying a team-dignitas hoodie? they're pretty sweet. just bought mine a couple days ago. Naniwa is a cold blooded killer. the guy had his eye on the prize from the beginning. really amazing play from him even though i'm not a huge fan. Looks like he is the foreigner to beat atm.

You can even see it in his eyes. The guy reminds me of Jaedong. Killer instinct and once you see that look you know it's over.

Coaching would help a great deal. Other than that... It must be pretty tough. THat being said, being a gamer isn't expensive once you have your rig set up. Potato chip isn't expensive, and you'd hardly need to put fuel in your car. Renting a house or paying a mortgage would be effin tough though. I lot of people live with 20k a year after taxes and all that. They probably don't lose much on that amount. I get 41k a year after taxes and everything the government takes, I have 25ish left. I do have a mortgage and no problem living. I don't have a car that can crap on me though which is 300-500 a month just there. 20k+ they can do it expecially in Korea where you don't need a car and where most needs are provided by the team total earnings/sponsorship. You don't have to live a rock star life to be happy.

how the finals fatefully lined up the 2 players, naniwa aka. meatyowllegs (the other one and only b.net ladder crusher) vs. kiwikaki (Athenewins). the history of those two accounts alone is enough to premp excitement. it seems this has been a long time coming. those 2 really stand in a class of their own.

Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Wrestling etc. Surfing also uses it. Other competetive gaming uses it as well, I dont think I've ever watched a Street Fighter tourney that wasn't double elim. So yeah it's not just MLG.

Yeah we have a lot "private taxes" you don't have like I pay $100 a month for insurance and I'm in school. I bet it's more when I get older. School itself is about $4000 a semester x2. I live on a lot less than both of you make but with loans. Next year I am going to school in Germany since my mom is citizen and most will be free.

On another note: 500 bucks is shit lol, considering the time these guys put preparing, and actually playing for those 3 days. Not to mention the cost put in, travel, hotel etc., AND on top of that, there aren't THAT many tournaments a year. coaching and endorsements. but still pretty sad how small the MLG payouts are. i just watched this video: and in 1 morning this guy made more than everybody other than MC from sc2 tournaments. and look how low his APM is!
