I'm not a fan of the MLG tournament structure here, I think it rewards the pool players way too much. For instance InControl won 3 series the whole tournament and he got 4th place. Meh..
Not a big fan of the MLG system, it gives to much chances for the seeded players to stay forever in the tournament. I knew Naniwa had the biggest chance to make it with Kaki and Select, slightly surprised by Inc, disappointed by Huk and TLO...and well Tyler...
Hopefully, the NASL will be a much improved tournament.
It rewards pool players massively. This "extended match" thing is really annoying. The prize for winning a pool is far too big. It stays at bo3 all the way to the end instead of at least giving a bo5 or bo7. I also don't like how pool players play a lot on day 1, and then only a single match on day 2.
That said, some of the games were really great, and I hope they can get their streaming issues fixed for next time. (I won't be buying a pass, though.)

TLO got 5th. Thats a quite good result for him considering he has been struggling lately. And if there was no stupid extended series he would have beaten Incontrol in a Bo3 and been Top4.
I am bit surprised by Kiwi, didnt think he would do that good, especially in his tough group and vs Select. Moonan had a really nice comeback through the loosers bracket. Dissappointend for me: Huk, Ret, Tyler (all Team Liquid)

Yeah I was actually surprised by TLO that he managed to make a 5th place finish when he was still random racing for until recently. Very disappointed by Tyler most of all. Ret disappointed me since he was in a Terran heavy group and I felt he had a shot there.
IdrA came about where I expected, he surprised me with how well he ended up doing against Protoss since he said he was struggling - losing to TLO was a surprise, I felt he could have taken a 3rd place finish since he probably would have beaten incontrol.

7th, lost 2-0 to TLO, then beating Moonan in consolation match.

Can you provide a link? it's not on youtube.com/mlgpro
Im asking for one ~~;
unless you wanted the one with idra
just after his loss
It's weird, when Idra BMs in games, I can't stand him, but when he gives interviews like this, I think he's awesome. I think he should just take his BM to the highest level possible and start throwing chairs and physically attacking his opponents when he loses.
I was really frustrated with how they handled the stream and games. They stuck to the schedule so hard that they were fine leaving the stream empty for over an hour? Why? It makes sense on the finals day if they absolutely have to be out by xx o'clock, but on other days just keep streaming games, even replays.
Maybe I'm spoiled because I watch other gaming community streams too, but you just don't neglect your stream for that long.

I don't think he'd do that. I'd imagine even IdrA thinks it is rude to attack retards.

I completely agree. I have a sort of fanboy love/hate relationship with Idra. When he BM:s in game or even on stage today in the interview; I can't stand him, but in this interview he comes across as a cool guy again. I would guess that he didn't actually mean any harm at all with his comment in the JP interview, but due to his bluntness it came across as very arrogant.

Yeah...and if there were no loser brackets he'd have been out much earlier and not gotten as high as he did. It's fun to play the "what if" game isn't it?
Is that right? inControL actually placed 4th out of over 200 people by going 8-6? Really? This format favoring the top seeds is just terrible. And NaNiwa played so many more games, it would've been a travesty had he not won it in the end.
