Not sure if you're aware but you proved his point.

Not sure if youre aware but whats the point in stating gsl is won by BW players if only Bw players are in gsl anyway

Well it would prove korean war3 players aren't good enough to enter, but theres no point in following that line of reasoning because what he said was simply untrue. There are quite a few war3 players

What kind of insane income do you have that $5000 for a weekend tournament is not much?

He also gets great seeding for future MLGs.

when you think that you have to travel from europe and train a lot and play a lot of games , 5k seems to you big money ? i think he spent more only to be there this weekend

Well, it isn't much at all compared to GSL. And as far as I know, MLG is the 2nd biggest tournament after GSL.

Everyone spam semi-useless comments to 1k!

I hate extended series to no end.

And Naniwa is hilarious, fits the gamer stereotype great, unlike 70% of other top level players.

Edit: If you think it cost him $5,000 to be in Dallas you're insane. 600-800, up to 1k if he's really bad with money.

it's not every weekend. it's not even every month. and you can't ignore how many hours of practice went into preparing for this weekend tournament. and their teams take a large cut.

Somehow I doubt that, unlikely Naniwa would come if it was that costly and out of his own pocket. MLG or someone else probably paid for his travel expenses.

FoCuS, ReMinD, Moon, Lyn and SocceR

now stfu because this isnt the topic of this thread

Now you are just lying. Remind has never ever tried to qualify for GSL

But as I said, there just weren't that many korean wc3-pros left at the end. Only a handful switched to sc2, the rest retired or plays wc3 for fun, wheras a TON of old bw-players switched to sc2. Of course they are going to do better in GSL if there are a gazillion more of them who have a shot at winning.

In europe WC3 was pretty popular, which is why there are a lot of successful former wc3-players in europe. It has nothin to do with the game but with the amount of people playin. Skillwise bw and wc3 players are pretty even in sc2. It's a new game.

actually remind tried to qualify for gsl 2. I forgot what his account was, he played a few hundred games of sc2.
