I think it's a great system that helps ensure that players don't get knocked out earlier than they should, while still having them play enough games to prove that they belong in top 16. Example: Gretorp does not belong in the top 16. He's 0-3, and likely will be 0-4 in a few hours. Next MLG he'll have to earn his spot in the Championship Bracket. edit: I think the proper way to look at MLG is that Friday and Saturdays games are the preliminay games, similar to all of the TSL qualifiers. Sunday is the real tournament. The 16 seeded players are the "invites" and the Winner and Losers bracket guys are the "qualifiers". Well here is the thing though... you get seeded higher based on where you end up losing... so if someone makes it far in the open bracket but loses to 2 solid players... they are way worse off than Gretorp who is at the worst placed in the top 20 (or is it top 24?). Then, Gretorp gets more points for making it farther than them and is again seeded higher. Of course significantly better players can pass him, but those on a slightly better level (in other words deserving to take his spot) will have a VERY tough time. BTW I was just going along with Gretorp as an example. I haven't seen his play at all recently so I can't comment on that... nevertheless my argument still stands. Edit: Of course unless I misunderstood the seeding this time around... but I don't think they changed how you get points for seeding.

The stream of Sunday's play will be re-broadcasted for a couple of days after the event. After that, all the streamed matches will be available as VoD on MLG TV. 2. The games are uploaded as VoD once the event is over. It will start with the Friday/Saturday/Sunday night games, and slowly increase from there. You can rewind with the HQ pass to watch the re-stream to catch the games you missed. Unfortunately there is only 1 hour of playback, so if you want to get to a specific match but can't rewind back far enough you will have to wait.
