Taunting isn't sportsmanship. Sportsmanship is always positive.
Taunting is "poor" sportsmanship, as in lacking sportsmanship.

According to that rule, huk should have been disqualified in the game vs select when he made a mothership due to chat in the middle of he game.
I thikn it was briefly mentioned in the L/R thread during that MLG, its not that big of a deal. The rules are fairly outdated and theres a vast array of them which dont really make sense to apply. theres one where a player can limit the unit composition of the other player by not letting them make a unit.

From the MLG rule book:
3. Players may not chat in-game unless they are engaging in pre-game sportsmanship or surrendering the Game.
6. Breaking any of Gameplay Rules #2-5 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
Technically HuK forfeited the game by taunting IdrA. You might argue that IdrA responded, but the game was already forfeited when he did. I wonder if this will come up tomorrow.[/QUOTE]I don't know if IdrA would be the kind of guy that would even except the win based on this, it would make him look really bad especially considering the loss was purely his fault, it was a favor huk was doing at the least by telling him it was hallucination that IdrA gg'd at.

Comparing NASL to MLG is like comparing apples to oranges.
NASL is a dedicated SC2 league with the vast majority of their games being played online and live streamed via replays, where as MLG is a LAN event. As for the LAN portion of the NASL, I don't think it's humanly possible for them to fuck up as royally as MLG did this weekend.
Comparing TSL to NASL would make a lot more sense, but even that comparison isn't really fair.

The amount of upload MLG Dallas uses is ridiculous... 4 streams going (COD, Halo, SC2, and the pro stream that has a little of everything), plus all the SC2 games, plus the alienware station that has 4 desktops and 6 laptops all with only sc2 and ie on them... Some of us sitting by the logistics guys for sc2 were having a deep discussion about the required amount of bandwidth they needed for upload for this event; and i believe the number we came up with was minimum 18mbit up, probably closer to 38mbit up... Dense fibre (the kind they have burried in Dallas) allows for a maximum of 32mbit(i think) up *(and only if you are a FiOS customer- i know this part is right)... Halo and COD games were all setup as LAN. Also- more games were crashing than the main stage... I believe Rigid disconnected at least once, and when VTgix played against tkVim, they dropped twice... Also, on the feature stage, station 1, which I believe at the time was sixjax.mihai vs LG.PainUser they lagged so much that their games seemed to go on forever... I know the qxc v haypro games were just plain long, but i believe it WAS mihai's games that were lagged... Hell, I didn't get to see grubby v dde because the lag was so bad... Apparently they did play- they must have moved when I was outside smoking or flirting with the Dr.Pepper chick...
They can buy more than one cable. If that sort of infrastructure is not available in Dallas, they shouldn't have an event in Dallas, end of story. Predicting the bandwidth your event will consume is not hard.
They also can implement some sort of QoS -- if the bandwidth is insufficient they should start dropping stream packets first.
And, as always -- this is why "no LAN play" was a seriously fucking dick move by Blizzard.

Dignitas looking very strong so far! As a team they've only lost one series, which was a team kill. + 2 in the winner's bracket semis.

No it will most certainly not come up. "just so you know most of that army" most certainly does not fall outside the realm of pre-game sportsmanship. He may have been somewhat snide about it (text is bad for sarcasm isn't it? We can't know) but he was letting IdrA know that he actually had the game in the bag. What most certainly does NOT fall under pre-game sportsmanship is "fuck you". As a matter of fact, that also falls under a technical foul for directed vulgar language at another player.
People are looking for ANY loophole to get IdrA to win and it doesn't even matter. There's no difference people!

No. I take that back. It's disappointing that you can confidently fall on a single BO to get you through the day.
I doubt you have seen a lot of games from Nani. He can play macro base and he does. He also has a good 4gate and uses it often, yes.
To be fair, his games vs Agh and Tyler were PvP, so no surprise there. Vs Machine and Pokebunny he did play long games.
So please don't just make something up.

Was the Idra/HuK conversation during the game, or during a pause due to lag? It's hard to tell from replays, and makes a pretty big difference rule-wise.
